Anna cracks, aprox 2 km before the summit, 18 km to go.

Sad these Spanish motorbikes are once again so close to the action. Stop towing Vollering please.

VDB was probably right not to help there, but if she had taken turns then Demi would possibly not have attacked.

30 seconds means the race isn't theoretically over, but it would of course have been better scenario now if VDB and Reusser had been teammates.

It's like UAE sacked off Pogacar for a returning Valverde
Anna van der Breggen is a natural talent though, probably more so than Vollering. She's already not far off Vollering's level... and it's just her first race back. You can see there's still plenty of room for improvement.

Both VDB and Reusser's return to racing have been encouraging. Cavalli's first day back wasn't a picnic, but at least they had Ciabocco in the chasing group. Lauke's dynamic duo didn't get a fantastic start to their new partnership.

Womens cycling is so much more entertaining than men's for sure.

Mavi Garcia has a crazy amount of race days so far this season,

Did Reusser actually leave racing? I must have missed it.

The route for the revamped version of MSR has been revealed and it will be starting in Genoa. 156 km await the riders, so there will be plenty of road for other teams to get frustrated with SDW :p

Lara Crestanello proved that she was born to win by taking the victory in Umag.

The third edition of the Vuelta Extremadura begins tomorrow. The route looks pretty good. A 9 km ITT in the morning followed by a 81 km road stage in the afternoon, which will probably finish in a sprint. The next stage has the Alto de Robledo (5.4 km, 5%, but with 2-3 km at over 6.5%) which tops out 15.5 km from the finish. The queen stage on Sunday features El Torno/Cabezabellosa (10 km, 5%) and Puerto de Honduras (16.9 km, 5.2%, but the first 12-13 km are at 6-7%). This is followed by a 20 km descent and a loop around Hervás to the finish.

The full start list has not been announced yet, but it has been confirmed that Chladonová and Wolff will be making their road debuts for Visma in the race, in a line up that also features Bunel.

Yes. It follows the men's route after the first 20 km or so.

Trek have brought Realini to Extremadura, but she has lost a minute to Bjørndal Ottestad who has knocked it out of the park. Question is if Van Dijk will be able to ride even faster.

She could ride 10 seconds faster.
Bjørndal Ottestad and Aalerud are the two highest placed GC riders, but the race has only just started.

The gap suddenly decreased dramatically, but it was just an illusion. Greta Marturano took the win ahead of Ytterhus Haugset. I hope everyone is okay after the crash.
