Feels like she will never get a better race for her. Literally only one descent in the entire race where she might be isolated, and even then probably not.
And this will be her first race of the year. I have no problems with this approach because her volume of training is next level.

What an absurd joke of a route. They literally did everything wrong that they could have - they visit far too little of the country to call it a Vuelta a España, the pacing is horrible, the mountain stages are horrible, the non-mountain stages are horrible, and the balancing is horrible.

So you're not a fan then ? 😉

Wiebes won the sprint against Moors by the way.

And Alma Rasmussen held onto the overall lead on the last stage of the Biwase Cup, thus securing the first Danish UCI GC victory since CUL's in the 2022 Tour of Scandinavia. It's been a rather successful Vietnamese trip for Hitec.

Expecting UAE to go full mental together on a climb soon.

Kopecky looks better again. As Kasia attacks the steeper climb.

Mieke Docx was in the break so that made my day already. After Nokereberg she started to get cramps in the behind. Side note: she already hated cobbles before so now even more I guess.

Isn't she also a little bit busy with the just had a baby bit?
Well yes that too 😁 and we do welcome baby Enya to the fold.

just wanted to draw attention to why theyd picked a 30 year old with absolutely zero lead race organising experience, which makes it feel almost like an honorary role.

The guy they picked for the men's race has spent twice as long doing that kind of thing than Alice spent as a pro cyclist...so im sure it will all be fine 🤣

The most prestigious crit race in the UK. Past winners include Lizzie Deignan, Adam Blythe, Tom Pidcock, & some bloke called Mark from the isle of man
Name last years winners without googling it then... ?

look Lizzie has been associated with the Otley races for years, she was born there, she got married there, shes done rides with the Otley club for years even when she was fulltime pro, shes like president emeritus of the place. It makes perfect sense to name her organiser of those races even if her actual input might be delegated to others, though I suspect shes actually very much involved still even with the new baby to deal with, because thats who she is.

my reason for drawing the comparison was because i think Lizzie would have made a far better race director of the ToBWomen than Alice, if you are going down that route BC have chosen...Lizzie always made her pov known and led from it, thats what you need from a race director...I dont know if Alice has that attitude yet that you need for that role, shes never demonstrated it in her media roles for sure imo
