I think it stems from their UK team junior days when Emma Trot was the coach.
whom are the favourites? Wiebes mostly?
The fact so many teams are willing to go to a sprint with Wiebes continues to infuriate. Banking on her wrecking out after charging like a bull in a china shop around the last few kilometres is a losing strategy. I mean, she has done that plenty of times, but she's not only better at getting over obstacles nowadays, she's better at staying upright. There was a time when Wiebes couldn't make the final selection due to the climbs or as a result of crashing, but those days are gone (well as we saw earlier this week a crash can obviously still keep her from winning).
FDJ looks like the team most willing to ride aggressively because they don't have one of the fastest sprinters, but other teams also have different options if they're willing to use them.
