First I was mad at Joe Papp for showing photos of Wein heimer.

Now with those lovely podium babes Joe you have redeemed yourself.

I do not think anyone on the Forum is stupid.

If Joe enlightens us on LL about enhancing and he has ridden for Rabo and Steiner well he has not enlightened me. Fred Taylor

Just give Levi credit he deserves. One of the worlds best TT, GT riders domestique, savior of ferral cats, chiuahuas, animal birth control road ID etc.

He really does many great thing for cycling in Nor-cal.

He is also one of the top pros in the US.

He makes cycling safer for cycling here!

Welcome to America, where our podium girls are fat, have ugly tattoos, and wear Ray Bans from Magnum PI circa 1984.

When does the Giro start again?

I was thinking along similar lines, but in a slightly different vein when I saw this photo:

Only in the US do our riders grope the fat, nasty podium girls, as if they were frat boys taking trophy pics at last call after a Heifer Hunt.

PS. And is there a leader's jersey that Champion System doesn't sponsor yet? Sheesh. I mean, Louis, Scott, Charlie, etc were all nice guys and I enjoyed racing w/ the team in China, but ... this is getting creepy. They're like the Lance Armstrong of leader's jerseys.

Actually, it shows clearly that Leipheimer was willing to cheat from earliest days to win in cycling...and it exposes the hypocrisy of his pseudo-teammate Taylor Phinney, who will **** "doper" at Vino' and whine that he dislikes cheaters, while remaining either ignorant of, or silent on, his pseudo-teammate's of history of doping.

lack of forgiveness is quite ... apalling from someone such as yourself.

Despite your 'cooperation' with anti-dopers I'm surprised shame doesn't drive you far away from anyone who knows what you got up to- especially in regards to providing PED to others

I think they look kinda hot!

I guess that's not too politically correct...but, hey, why do we have podium girls and not podium guys?

leipheimer was sanctioned and served his suspension like vino. shouldn't the same standards apply? phinney's comments aside, what's the difference?

... and if there's one thing I hate more than a doper who doesn't get caught :p it's a hypocrite.

Except when they were your customers, right? One supposes you loved the fact that they didn't get caught then. And hypocrite? Like a guy testifying about the evils of another cyclist doping, all the while still selling dope himself?

Why is this guy even allowed to be part of the cycling "scene" anymore? Why is he allowed to profit off his past cheating and drug dealing? The whole thing is so sordid.

What are you guys talking about?

I will take either or both of them. I love boobies, what can I say.

Thanks for the info on Levi, Joe, that's pretty interesting and I don't think a lot of us knew about this before hand.

oops, so frei admits doping whilst astana's internal anti-doping program was run by the highly touted damsgaard ?

i tought damsgaard was so good that he even now got a job with the uci.

who else did he miss ? oh wait, i know, he missed gusev, whose life got destroyed by damsgaard/bruyneel even though gusev got vindicated by cas.
i never liked that damsgaard guy and now im starting to doubt his professionalism.
added:
lance should have hired damsgaard in stead of catlin and we all would be happy happy now that lance had not broken his own promise to the world.

Pretty much every rider on Astana, including Contra. :p

???? This isn't about me. It's about Taylor dissing Vino but not ragging Levi, who also cheated, in his Twitter ****s. Err, tweets.

I was really trying to understand the purpose of this thread, because yes- he doped 14 years ago and got 3 moths of suspension-- that's a fact
now, JOe is trying to uncover the hypocrisy of Leechaimer & the entire LA/hog combo on how clean they ride-but everybody knows they are as dirty as the New York sewer lines & no matter is the story goes back a decade-every one still knows that back in those days, they indeed were hooked in the juice & nowadays they get the "real juice" from Ferrari-Leechaimer himself was/has been couched by him. so I asked myself-what's the fuzz all about?

The issue for me was that Taylor Phinney crapped-on Vino and whined about his being a cheating doper, and said he should go away from cycling, and that he disliked all cheaters, when he spared his pseudo teammate L.L. from the same banishment - either unknowingly, or intentionally ignoring L.L.'s positive test from 1996 - details of which were all but impossible to find on the Internet but which have now been dragged more into public view.

And if you follow Taylor's tweeeets, he contends now that he wasn't crying about anyone in particular (Winning L-B-L, that is)...a revisionist at work.

Wikipedia edits

So LL has a dedicated coterie of enforcers on wikipedia, too! I think this will go on until either i can get a print copy of VeloNews or Cycling USA or confirmation in written form from USA Cycling, which shouldn't be too too terribly hard to do.

What revision? He called Vino a doper. Taylor wasn't and isn't crying about that.

I'm curious Joe. In an earlier thread you said it is clear that Levi decided to cheat at an early age. What age were you when you decided to cheat?

At what age were you when you decided to deal HGH and EPO? Ephedrine too?

I find it absolutely nutty that you criticize a teenage soon-to-be-pro cyclist for calling a doper a doper. NUTTY.

Taylor was crying about Vino's winning L-B-L.

31. As to you third (Ephedrine), not applicable.

No, I criticize him for calling one former doper a doper and implying he should quit professional cycling because Taylor doesn't like cheats, while he fails to apply the same treatment to another former doper, his soon-to-be teammate.

Why isn't Taylor calling Levi a doper, after his wins at Gila?

It's more the hypocrisy of it, rather than the comment itself.

I just dropped Taylor super hard on my way in to work yesterday through S. Boulder. No joke. Boom. He passed me at the top of a DH while I was stopped to wipe boogers off my finger on a road sign post (didn't want to wipe them on my work shirt). And then I was all like: "aww hell no you whiny little hypocritical *****", so I bridged up by the bottom of the small burg, and then crushed him with a demoralizing attack through the chicaned lead up to the Col de Regent Drive. Big ringed it up and over the top of the climb and then stopped at my office.

For real. I've raced the Gila a couple of times and I didn't see either of these two wild New Mexicans down there! Maybe I'll go back, but not for some lame spandex event this time.

Some guys, a lot of my bike racer friends, really only like super skinny (athletic) chicks. That fine. More flesh mounds for me. Last thing I want to do is try to be athletic with a girl and take her on rides or skiing or whatever; going slow is the worst!

Taylor called Vino a doper on twitter.
Taylor also tweeted that he was disappointed that Vino won.
So what. Vino IS a doper and Taylor can root for WHOEVER he wants to.

Expecting Taylor to call Levi a doper after the Gila win is a bit silly.
C'mon, its silly.

Is that hypocrisy? I've seen worse.

Ugh.

This thread had nothing to do with GILA! It had to do with Taylor Phinney's slagging Vino but not slagging Levi, nor slagging RS's Li Fuyu after his positive.

Almost everything in pro cycling with regards to riders yelling at each other around the theme of doping involves hypocrisy in one form or another...

@Joe Papp – No, it’s all about you. A doper, cheater, liar and criminal needs a few buddies and what better way than becoming a full-blown LA hater. I’ve read your blog and you’re dishonest and selective. Your rant about Taylor is hypocritical. BTW, Taylor speaking out against Vino, which caused this back-lash against him and unnecessary smear of Levi is by any definition omerta.
