Source? Because last time I checked after Amstel he said he would not race fw or liege. Can't find any news that he is riding either. So please. Source!!!

he's listed on the letour site, I didn't think he was riding either. However there are 3 substitutes listed, so I'm not sure.

I hope it's raining, snowing, hailing or whatever on Sunday so an allergy-free Dan Martin destroys the field, Samu comes second and the Little Frenchman third.

Jrod and Samu are not as strong in LBL, Valverde is really crap. Cunego might be able to win. I will go for Gilbert though!:D

among the 3 "Ardennaises", I know LBL is the one that suits Valverde the most. However, judging by his current form and seeing the weather forecast for sunday, it doesn't look very promising, knowing that valverde under-performs in cold rainy weather.
However, if he manages to be in the front group after Cote de Saint-Nicolas, he'd be the man to beat.
If not, Phil is the obvious favorite.

PS: lexman, i see you're using AZERTY keyboard :p

SIMON GERRANS will win this race!!

Albasini may even make it a 1-2 for the mighty GreenEdge..... what a team!!

my long shot of choice would have to be Jurgen Van den Broeck

he really impressed me with his top 10 finish on the Mur yesterday after having to come trough from back in the field & having worked for Jelle in the early hectometers of the climb ...

What is interesting here is how does the "day off" or in horse racing terms freshening up (of Gerrans) work? GE purposely said they would rest Gerro for the Wed race and hit LBL fresher. Does that work or not..? With the boys having had a very tough race in cold and wet conditions I think it should be in Gerrans favour. Not sure how many other top chances rested on Wednesday.

If that philosophy doesn't work for them, they then have the race hardened option with Albasini and Clarke. I am going with the freshened up option and also backing Gerrans to win.

Is Jon Tiernan-Locke starting?

Not this year. I think he's mentioned something like - he doesn't want the first out of his 7 consecutive LBL titles to come against an out-of-form Gilbert, so he'll just wait till next year

Endura is a continental team and cannot ride WT races.

Also, Tiernan-Locke was very bad in the last 2 races he rode. I think his early season form is gone by now. So even if he did he would've done nothing

Tiernan-Locke deserves credit for his new cqranking picture alone.
