The difference between Remco and Pogacar is clearly that both have the punch to get a gap but only one of them is a good enough rouleur to sustain it.

Remco not Super Remco.
This is not a Remco who would have torched Pog.

Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon; it was a hard day and still 30k to go and Remco is gone. I supposed very much dependent on where Pog's form was headed.

Pogacar likely would have gone earlier on that climb and actually takes a gap that's big enough. If Pidcock doesn't work with Remco (he probably shouldn't), could easily see this coming back a bit.
