OK, for real guys. Does anyone here REALLY believe that Andy Schleck will be kept out of the TDF? Come-on now, barring an injury, he'll ride it no matter what the Hog says now

But Becca is meant to be furious also with Frank.
We don't know the deal-making details when Becca hitched his wagon to The Hog. My guess is the Hog/Becca promises did not line up with their actions and the Schlecks are mad about it. Meanwhile, a guy like Cancellara has taken it all in the shorts until he can get out of his contract.

... the Schlecks have shown a total disregard for all the other races and right from the start they have taken their places in the Tour for granted.

That's pretty rich coming from The Hog. The "master strategist" has lost too much honor this year and he's resorted to public lashings. When this doesn't work, then what Mr. Hog?

If a Schleck doesn't ride the TdF, ready or not, somehow I don't think they will miss it much.

The Hog has screwed this one up from the beginning. It's been a loong time coming.

If he were to show up and publicly refuse the win he would gain some cajones for himself. But in stead he'll just follow the status quo and not ruffle a feather.

I totally agree, Alberto never should have been nullified, Merckx is correct.
However. whether Andy agrees with accepting the trophy or not is not his choice, he is professional, he accepts the trophy gracefully.
Furthermore, the absence of Alberto, skews the scheme, and dynamics, of not only the Schlecks, but the other teams and favorites of the Big One.

The winners of the races this year, strange, I can only attribute that to the wrongful banishment of Alberto,

The Hog lacks communication skills. Lashing your riders publicly smacks of a personal lack. Given Frank's injury appears more serious than first looks suggested then petulance seems to reside more with JB than Frank.

My new toys don't perform as advertised...think I chuck them out of the pram. Now those "toys" may not be manufactured to the same QA standards and quality as an "Alberto Contador" however "they" should be treated with respect.

Suggest JB could learn* some quality people management skills. As for Fabian, no one doubts his tenacity, but who's to say he will be ready for Le Tour. Saying only FC is guaranteed a spot further reinforces the image of a petulant child.

* term used advisedly as JB is yet to demonstrate an inclination to/interest in such facets of human endeavour.

How did you come to that conclusion?

Inference drawn from comments attributed to JB and report of further medical tests of Frank:

Seriously? That article doesn't suggest that to be the case. All it really says is:

Initial examinations on his shoulder showed “a hematoma in both my neck and the articulation that I dislocated. These are putting pressure on the nerve system and are the cause of the pain. Besides this, I still have the inflammation in the left leg, from overcompensating the painful shoulder with a cramped position on the bike.”

-

This all seems quite normal to me. Further medical tests don't suggest it, either. What comments attributed to Bruyneel? At no point did he imply that the injury was worse than it first appeared.

This just seems too over the top for me. It's almost as if he wants it to be public knowledge that no one is getting along. It just seems like they are starting to take it too far, and maybe things aren't as bad as they are letting on.

lol. bruyneel is working since beginning of the year to cause a split between the schlecks. bruyneel will brainwash andy wherever he can and frank he kicks out. andy has the talent and frank does not. bruyneel realises this. but andy will ride the tour for sure. but we will have to wait if jb can really split the 2 brothers

I have to agree with hfer07. There could be a really ugly divorce come late June if the Schlecks aren't at the Tour. Becca made the team to have the Schecks (and Luxembourg) win. I would think he'd be furious if they aren't there.

I"m sure becca agrees with jb's approach of the spoiled schleck brothers. seem like just the same guy as becca is, jb

Lol he accepts the trophy gracefully... of course not. He thinks he deserves the title and he will probably think he is the best cyclist in the world.

You would think it can't go any further but it does time and time again. I think after Tuesday I'll be at 1000000000 out of ten.

Don't rage. It will be a field day for you as well. ;) It's gonna be an offical end of Contador's doping encroachments, a new life for him I would say so! In order to feel healthier, if I were you I'd start thinking that Contador wasn't at that Tour at all.

Ufff, finally the award finds its hero!

No. Alberto won that Tour and every sane person knows it.

Yeah you have no problem in criticising Andy for this who by the way is not at fault in anyway whatsoever but you say nothing against the guy who actually caused this farcical situation in the first place.

Whatever. If you think that title is still Contador's your having a laugh.

Andy is well within his right to take this title and if I was in his shoes I would blast Contador for what he has done.

You criticise a fellow who did'nt test positive but you say nothing against the guy who actually did. One rule for one rider and another rule for another rider with yee.

You stuck on replay?

Lol, you are so polite. The funniest thing is that after the lapse of 10-20 posts you can easily accuse someone of disrespecting cycling or so. :D
