GC depth is important for them tactically, Klöden, Horner and Zubeldia will all be there provided they are ready. Bruyneel also needs them as they are loyalists, along with Popovych and Irizar (although I'd say the latter is only 50/50). I wouldn't be surprised if Monfort and Fuglsang were left out.

If Horner, Voigt and Zubeldia would be in, would it then mean that F.Schleck would be out:eek:

Not that Andy rode badly, when his brother was not there

Does any one know when this super impressive bob jungels is turning pro??

He is "only" 19, so he still has time to become Pro.
However, I hope to see him soon in the Pro Circuit, as he shown a bit of his talent lately.

But now that Fuglsang has won something, doesn't that give him a "guarenteed spot" alongside Cancellara?

I just realised RSNT has only 3 wins this season. That has to be one of the lowest win totals of pro tour teams this season.

Im pretty sure there will be no slots for both Monfort and Fuglsang. Since Monfort was supposed to ride Vuelta for himself i guess he might be out of the Tour squad. On the other hand Monfort rode both Tour and Vuelta last year and it worked well. So maybe Fuglsang will be out since he's not so great at domestique role and will ride TdP as a preparation for Olympics and then Vuelta with free role or something.

Schleck, Schleck, Cancellara, Voigt. Those have spots for 100%
Horner, Kloeden, Popovych. Highly possible if they stay healthy.
Zubeldia, Rast, Fuglsang, Monfort, Posthuma for the last two spots.

Regarding that they're in close competition with Saxo

yup saxo, RSNT and AG2R all have 3 wins.
But the saxo wins are in really small races, like tour de taiwan:eek:

If they do not hit paydirt with Cancelarra in the TTs and possably one mountain top win from the team in the Tour de Suisse, then the comparision to AG2R will be more realistic. Cancelarra's a huge asset, but his loss in the spring shows up how weak the team is without him.

BMC got 7 wins:eek:
although Gilbert and Hushovd were badly affected by illnesses and other mishaps(crashes, tooth problems)

they were as big a blow as canc getting injured for RSNT.

I'm pretty sure a squad will be: Andy - Frankie - Kloden - Horner - Monfort - Fuglsang - Zubeldia - Cancellara - Voigt. Popo can be instead of Zubelda. In theory one place could be given to a guy who has shown himself well during the season but they don't have one.

Could be... I'm seeing the RSNT Tour line up as:

1.Sneezy
2.Sleepy
3.Dopey
4.Doc
5.Happy
6.Bashful
7.Grumpy

Today during Dauphine's stage, Savoldelli and other Rai's journalist spoke a bit about yesterday stage where Andy Schleck was dropped and he said "he didnt look like suffering or anyway trying to get back to the peloton" by adding that by a rider like him it's not normal to get dropped on a so easy climb.

Then the journalist asked him if he thought that Andy did it on porpouse due to the situation media is reporting into RS team and he answered "usually I dont believe this kind of stuff but this time it really seems there's some troubles among the team, especially as I know Bruyneel quiet well, and it wouldnt surprise me if Andy dropped on porpouse just to upset Johan".

Thanks for interesting info, Michele. I don't think it has something to do with the situation inside of the team. Rather it's some сonditional border of pain and extra effort Andy doesn't want to outstep in the races other than Tour.

That's what I said. Although both Horner and Klöden had knee injuries as well this year. They both rode well early last year at Catalunya and the Basque. Klöden was looked great in TDF, but was taken out by a Dave Z crash the leaders turn.

The Schleck rebellion is curious. Maybe they are going to start their own team again. This time without a director.

Horner may be paying for age and time out of racing.

Anyone know when RadioShack and Nissan's sponsorship deals end? 2013?

The insubordination from the Shlecks has gotta hurt Johan's ability to attract more sponsors. It's a kamikaze tactic though; acting like unprofessional clowns must hurt their market value too.

Maybe there is a way out for some, but who is going to want to buy the contracts of the Shlecks? Not convinced there are multi million euro buyers for talented but petulant bike racers who don't seem to like racing.

Can't wrap my head around their political tactics.

I agree. I have never had any huge Schleck 'dislike' but I've never considered them extremely competent with business or tactics either.

But I also can't wrap my head around Bruyneel's persona and tactics ....

I guess what I was trying to say is that with so much bad energy and disfunction abounding on this team it may be a better idea for someone to head in a different direction soon. :p
