Couldn't care less about Horner. A Tour without Andy is a loss - fit or not. To make this year's edition anything close to be exciting we need riders like Andy. I don't really see a 40 year old being the one to attack Wiggins and the likes on the steep climbs. Quite a shame if this news is true. On the other hand.. We might see actually see a better Frank Schleck than we would have had.

On Twitter Klöden is bashing Horner for not riding with the team in Europe. And now they might end up riding the tour together.

RSNT should have opted for the Bjarne bootcamp before this season.

The disasters just keep on piling up don't they? Can't believe it. I bet even the Schleck haters would think that the Tour would be more exciting with him. Now it's just reduced to how well can Cadel TT vs how well can Wiggins and his train hang on to him on the climbs. Both very fascinating prospects!

Even though I like Horner, it's obvious that his under-Schleck-line (well almost) TTing this year will torpedo any chances for GC, even if he is re-picked (he won't). Maybe Frankie and/or Fabian will win a stage... but that's about it for this team this Tour.

The only upside is that we'll probably see AS vs Bertie in the Vuelta. If we don't, if I ever see AS at an event in London I will pretend to want an autograph and kick him in the vertebra.

Now Andy should think about, that was it a good idea to soft pedal the whole year?

I don't wish an injury to anyone, but maybe next year he will ride at least one race (the Tour is not in there) like no tomorrow.

Bad news but it's putting him out of his misery really, what was he going to do at the TDF based on his form at the CD, honestly...hopefully they'll have some x-rays handy during the PC, I only half-believe that story, how could it take them 1+ week to find out about a cracked vertebrae ?

All this is speculation if he doesnt race but he his form at the tour would no way have been indicated by his form at the Dauphine..
