Of course it would.

I changed it.
But he has struggled consistently in Suisse and has always been imperious form by the Tour.
It was a bit worse this year but you half get the feeling he isnt trying rather than because he doesnt have the form and even if he doesnt have it he has shown himself capable of working up to that level...

Bad news but it's putting him out of his misery really, what was he going to do at the TDF based on his form at the CD, honestly...hopefully they'll have some x-rays handy during the PC, I only half-believe that story, how could it take them 1+ week to find out about a cracked vertebrae ?

HAHAHAHAHAHA

This is why everybody loves Klödi despite his being a lazy bum and one super dodgy rider.

With if this whole injury thing is just an excuse so he won't ride the tour because of his awful form? They say he'll take a break for 6 weeks, exactly the time when the tour ends. And from there on he'll start preparing for the second part of the season.

And yet Klöden chooses to work for Backstabbers Inc year after year while his youth and talent seeps away like the sand in an hourglass.

That tweet from Kloden was a swipe at Horner, not Andy.

I assume that Kloden tweet is directed at Horner rather than Andy?

Andy will be missed, I hope he comes out for the Vuelta.

Will Frank be his national TT champion:eek:

Maybe Klöden is actually showing some leadership. It may be directed at the whole team.

Horner self-promotes too much which I dismiss becasue he's always done it. I think he might have known the gig was up for the Tour this year and was just playing to some fan base support for a shot at the Olympics or to really make clear his back was no problem. So if they say his back is bad, but it's been an onging problem in the past several years and his still been able to produce, I might say something about it to the press as well.

Actually this tweet still totally fits to Andy.
Yes it does :D, but it's clear it's about Horner.

Andy will not be missed this year.
- He was never in form the whole year, it would've been embarrassing
- Too many TTs, thus, even in-form, he would've not been a factor anyway

A good lesson to be learned for both Schlecks.

Or at the whole team. Frank Schleck did nothing for Horner at the Basque this year as far as I could see. Bruyneel is not daft, he's either been handed a good solution to some ego problems or has split it up to try to get the best results for the year as a whole considering the spring was a disaster.

Just about everyone here was mocking Andy Schleck's TT and knew it was going to be a bigger problem this Tour with no TTT and the long lenghts of two, not one, ITT.

Funny how things work out.

Reviewing Klodi's tweet, makes me think this is a well orchestrated PR by Bruyneel, knowing few days ago that Andy will not be riding the Tour, thus Klodi would become the #1 protected rider (due to his TT skills) and he doesn't seem to like Horner.

I really doubt Klodi sent those tweets on his own, he's not the confrontational type.

Horner typically tells it like it is... Sounds like Kloeden may be doing the same.

At any rate, your number 1 leader is now out of the race. Klodi now has to be viewed as the sole "leader", which historically he's uncomfortable with. He'll need as much help as he can get in the mountains and he's on his own in the TT.

Good role for Horner but what do I know...

Klöden's an introvert. Horner's an extrovert. They both are competitive as cyclists but completely different in personality. Horner always talks a big game, but it's done more to challenge himself.

I understand his position on the Olympics completely if his back is not that bad.

I feel sorry for Andy all I can say but the Tour is coming and that's way more significant. Sadly, Andy's real Vuelta participation costs too much. Organizers will never afford it.. And Vuelta doesn't match the Legend by the level of contention surely.

How many beers does he cost?
Perhaps they can get San Miguel to sponsor him to make a real ale effort?
(I take it you don't want to see his butt kicked by Bertie, again)

The Horner cloud gets a bit of a silver lining for his supporters.
