Since yesterday RSNT is on their first camp of the season in Clervaux (Luxembourg). Fränk Schleck also participates. They apparently have also signed a new DS: Josu Larrazabal, former Euskaltel.

Another camp will be in Spain, from the 10th to the 18th of December

Also confirmation that Devolder and Hondo are present, and that Gerdemann is no longer part of the team

So Gerdemann, Fugslang and Posthuma are out and Kiserlovski is the Giro man. If Frank is banned Andy still has a good team but nothing special and very freak characters as helpers (Kloden, Horner etc). However Fabian can lead a very nice team at the classics.

It's clear to me tha team has changed his focus to Fabian a more reliable leader than Andy.

Horner was a monster in last years Tour though. If he can get somewhere near that level again he can be a great helper IMO. There are also Zubeldia and Monfort, so IMO it would still be a pretty good team.

I agree that Cancellara's squad also looks nice

Kiserlovski will give us some nice moments in the next Giro D'Italia. I think he'll be able to do the GC and achieve stage win through breakways. Expect big things from him in spite of there will be too climbers like Pellizzoti, Rujano, the local fighters Sella, Brambilla or Rabottini and maybe the colombians.

The original article says that since Nissan has a contract for the 2013 season, they will still have to pay even though their name won't be associated with the team anymore

http://www.lequotidien.lu/les-sports/40677.html

hmm, unlike perhaps in the Rabobank situation where the doping stuff may influence customers these days, I can't see Nissan's business being negatively impacted by staying with the team if they have to pay anyway. A bit strange I think.

Their reputation is being damaged by the stink of failure than wafts from that team.

Not so strange IMO:
Fränk Schleck doping, Bryunell doping, and Radishack is mentioned in the Padua case.

the main objective of nissan sponsoring the cycling is to promote their green car leaf in the north american market, i can assure you Nissan and Radioshack will pull out soon, they are very unhappy with this merge

As I predicted:D

Radio shack and Nissan are american sponsors, I do't think they will be happy with a team that almost have non american

wondering when will we see another USA based world tour team? I can't see it happening in next few years unless TJVG can podium ToF, even with that he will just be a happy BMC team leader. After LA scandal, most USA sponsors will keep a distance from cycling. Well I guess you can count BMC as a half American team, I think BMC is actually registered in America.

The USA is a good place to base a company (including a cycling team) due to its business friendly climate. I often wondered if that is the reason BMC is based in the USA.

No, there won't be a big public presentation in Lux like the two previous years.

The 2013 team presentation will be held during their next training camp starting next week in Spain (as far as I remember).
Run (for media) like for most other teams. :D
