So basically a millionaire comes into the sport, buys his way into the World Tour, gets bored/disappointed/distracted or whatever, and suddenly tons of people lose their jobs. Yep, cycling increasingly going the way of football.

Monfort for example just raised his value at the Vuelta and it would make more sense for him to be nr.2 at Lotto-Ridley rather than 5-6 at Radio Luxemburg.

Gary Fischer is claiming inside knowledge and saying there is no merger. But then again Trek doesn't own either team.

Maybe there will not be be but Radioshack are screwed - 13 riders with contracts many have signed with other teams how to find 17 quality riders after most have been signed but other teams.

Maybe this is the last throw of the dice for Bruyneel ?

If anyway can take the brotherly.love out of Andy its Bryunell. I think he can make Andy alot better. I remember Amstrong a few years back wanted to recruit Andy, but not Frank, as he meant his brother was holding him back.

To make it clear, the Jens to GE is just my idea, I have nothing at all to base it on, just makes sense to me.

I agree if Nygaard is going to GE some riders like Voight could very well follow. I wouldnt be surprised to see Jens back at SBS either.

Is Monfort end of contract?

I highly doubt it. But then again, neither is Brice Feillu - he has a two year contract. So either EVERYONE is end of contract or someone's got something mixed up.

RTL has been trying to reach Kim Andersen all day but only gotten his mailbox. On the other hand they did reach Flavio Becca who refused to give an interview, but shortly said "There will be no merger", refusing to give any more information

So we have five possibilities

1. Both teams continue as they currently are
2. The teams merge
3. Leopard - Trek fold because Becca pulls out and Radioshack continues
4. Radioshack fold for some reason and Leopard - Trek contines
5. They both fold.

What is happening?????????????????????????

The way I see it:

Leopard (read Becca) fold. Trek continues but merge with Radioshack. As a result there arent room for all riders, and a lot of them have to find a new employer.

Feillu, Wegmann, Rohregger, Mortensen, Pedersen, Stamsnijder, Pires, Lund en Vigano

these have to leave according to l'equipe
