If Kloden wasn't injured last year (so we had some idea where he was in the GTs), he would probably be the leader. Obviously the team would never say that with their star Andy Schleck there.

Which is exactly what they should have done with Frank in 2011. They should have used him a lot more to unsettle Evans who is a very calculating rider. But instead, both Schlecks were bent on both being on the podium instead of having one as the winner. Bruyneel has said as much about 2012 TDF. If they ride conservatively they have no chance. But if they use Horner, Kloeden and both Schlecks to attack even if they are daring attacks it could still unsettle the other GC riders and work in their favour. Two TT's force their hand anyway and Evans, Contador and the others could get caught up a in a tactical battle. Evans has already said that he thinks the 2012 TDF will be harder even though the course suits him.
