I wonder if Bruyneel is regretting the merger of Leopard and Radioshack. Now he's got in his hands a pair of spoiled brothers who have little work ethics to win the big races. He's probably wishing that he still had Contador or Armstrong.

He still stays with Armstrong and will never rejoin Contador on on the assumption of the fact he stays with Armstrong.

He still stays with Armstrong, but Armstrong can't compete anymore. In the old days when Bruyneel helped Armstrong win all those Tours, he could see how hard Armstrong worked to come back from cancer. When he worked with Contador in Astana, he could also see Contador was hard working and didn't take anything for granted. I'm thinking if Bruyneel wished he still had guys like them. Guys like Contador and Armstrong work well with Bruyneel because they work hard.

The Hog vs. The Whiny Twins.

Bruyneel has always loved contrived drama, he found his perfect muses in those two little divas.

Dude seriously, I'm not interested in having such a playground argument. I liked the headlines and how they draw such different pictures of each rider. Let's just leave it with that.

They don't really draw different pictures about the riders though - it's apples and oranges. Cancellara is talking about needing to work to get back into condition, whereas the article on Frank is about whether he needs to prove that he deserves selection.

Yeah, it's definitely not the same situation for both of them. But I still wonder how long Fränk will be affected by his injuries. It he has problems in the Tour of Luxembourg, maybe he would also faces some time off the bike to recover. And there wouldn't be many chances to prove himself from then on.

Personally, I think that Frank's injuries aren't as bad as he says they are. Bad enough to make me not go out for a ride? Probably. Bad enough to make him quit the Tour? Almost certainly not. Perhaps he is in real pain. I just don't believe him at all.

who said Contador worked well with Bruynel?
Bruynel has said that Contador never trusted him.
and in the 2009 tour de france Bruynel worked particularly well against Contador.

If Bruyneel is smart he’ll do away with the Shelck’s in 2013 and get moving with the Fabs for the Classics and Fabs for the Tour campaign.

lol Fab is perfect for bruynel.

sad that he is 30 already, so he can only win 4 or 5 tours.

Maybe he didn't work well with Bruyneel, but at least Bertie worked hard & knew how to knuckle down to the job in hand. My feeling is that the Schlecks wouldn't know a hard day's work if it hit them in the face.

As for Frank's poor little bruised shoulder, he needs to stop posting garbage about his injury on the RSNT website and get on with things. Methinks he protests too much.

spot on ultimobici, the schlecks are known to be whingers within the peloton.Lets see what excuse they have after the tour? The thing i like about alberto is he doesnt seem to protest results or course designs, like some other top cyclist around. He just knuckles down and does the dirty work, thus achieving his great results.Frank and Andy if you read this forum take note.

Gazzetta dello sport today (paper version) suggests that not only Nibali is wanted by Astana but so is Andy Schleck ...

....as domestiques for kash....

really,i hope neither of those transfers will happen...vino is crazy if he pays those money on nibali...or maybe they can improve him in one year tremendously....i doubt it though...they should get betancur with less money...he's the new killer.

Why? Surely Nibs is neither Scheck nor Contador as a GT rider but he's very versatile and probably has already surpassed Evans and Valverde in this regard. In addition, it's a prospect since we have a few so strong riders of that young age. Vincenzo is the most available and they are eager to get him. Everything is very logical.

at least they shouldn't sign him now...wait and see how he does in july...

Don't they have to wit until August 1st anyway? But yes, Nibali will only win GTs when the competition is weak, like for the Giro that just ended. I don't see him beating racers like Gesink for instance.

And Gesink will never win GTs then
