How long has Johan had to prepare for this? I mean he had to know it was coming right? He has to have a better line than "lance never failed a test" right?

They like their credibility.

After Frank comment, it maybe just like last year all over again, multiple people fight for GC, mat the best man win:D

Highly disappointed. Maybe the thinking is to have him as co-captain for the Vuelta. If Raymond isn't on form, which is entirely possible given his injury and projected time off the bike, RSNT will want to bring a credible team there (the course suits Raymond better than the Tour de France).

EDIT: Btw, I'm stoked for Horner. Hopefully he has better luck than last year and can help animate the race when the road goes up (I don't want to see a UK Postal Procession--at least I want to see people fight their attempts to have a procession)

Gotta feel for the guy, but frankly I think Fuglsang's been a bit hyped over the years, can't see him winning a GT and he can't make much damage when pulling on the climbs or help a struggling leader (Kloden might need him if he can deliver in the ITTs), so...

As for Horner being back...well, dunno, a cynic would say that he was right but to put his head on the chopping block for Lance, or maybe it's just his back.

maybe not winning, but definitely a podium contender, but he has nothing achieved this year so far, supposely he wanted this year to be a breakthrough year for his career

Wow, seriously happy for Gallopin, he deserves it! Same for the Jensie. Wouldn't have been the same without him!

Very weird story with Horner again, just goes to show the bizarre power structures in that team.

Surprised by Fuglsang's non selection since for once he was showing some form and is actually responsible for the team's only win this season! With all the ITT km's he might have been able to do a top-10, but then again so are Klöden and Monfort. Fuglsang can do the Vuelta.

Also a little surprised by Gerdemann's non selection, for once he showed some form!

I doubt Jakob can do well. He'll just be Andy's domestique.

I wonder if that's payback for Fuglsang looking for another team (and I'm sure this non-selection seals it for him to ride elsewhere next year).

Well if that's the case than he won't ride la Vuelta either.

Jacob must curse himself to death for leaving Riis now, otherwise he might ride as sole leader for Tour now

the original deal is Monfont as captain of Vuelta, so i think Jacob also has to fight for the selection for Vuelta

Fulgsang, will be the captain for the Vuelta but at the last minute will be yanked from the roster :D

So who's the leader now? Frank declined which I think leaves Kloden and Horner :D

Has the making of another Lemond vs Hinault inner team battle, gotta love it ;)

I wonder if Frank's comments earlier, not wanting to be the 'captain' has to do with the inclusion of Horner

After the Tweet barrage, you know the team will be split if not just leave Horner out to dry, can't wait to see what happens when Horner flats, maybe Roche will help him out :D
