You have to wonder what's in it for Becca who's not a cycling fan like Rihs to waste his cash on a cycling team, money laundering ?

Wasn't it to get good PR in Luxembourg to benefit his businesses in some way? I don't remember the details.

Yeah, it would seem that it tracks back to last year and only has increased in speed.

Sporten.dk - According sporten.dks data have problems of payroll existed on the Luxembourg team dating back to last season. At least once last year it happened that the riders were told that wages would be delayed a week or so.

But it only makes sense, considering Flavio Becca's home and offices were raided by police last year.

So Horner was is sulking because Kloden beat him to #1 ? Is that why he did the same thing to his leader Leppy on the way up to Sierra Rd at the 2011 TOC?

Clearly when two riders on a team are the last in contention there's no reason for the stronger one not to go for it.

I understand it is the other way around. Kloden was angry because he felt that Horner would not ride for him at Vasco. Horner thought he should have been the leader and Kloden has been moaning about Chris ever since

pathetic

The guy's an original, slightly manic, but a lot of cyclists are. The yellow helmets on Sky? Now that's pathetic.:p

I am glad Horner's out of any GC stuff, he can still climb and might have a chance on Stage 7, which I hoping Sir Wiggo will lose a minute or more in 6 K to Schleck, Cadel etc. That's some SOB of a climb.

Thanks, that does explain it, however he'll hopefully be able to put the "500-600 watts for way too long" in the climbs...wouldn't Popo have been better for that kind of work?

They are saving him for when they actually have to climb

Horner's wattage data shows he can climb well on the steep stuff in the mid- to-high 400 range. That's how all climber's inflect so much pain. Simply a power-to-weight ratio advantage, but you should know that smaller riders tend have more problems on stages like today becasue the big boys can just out-power them.

Tony Martin is about as thin as I've ever seen him, but he will still have to push 600 or more watts all the way on a La Planche de Belle Filles on Stage 7. Horner not.

Horner might of had the misfortune of being the only one available close by in the closing Ks. I think bluffs at it some too, he wants to be fresh for the stuff were he might be able to dish it out. We will see.

The yellow helmets look odd with the rest of their colours but maybe it's a reminder to the team "that it's all about yellow".............as if they needed reminding.

You guys do know the reason for the yellow helmets, right?

There is a reason, yes. But the rules actuelly say that the leading can CAN choose to wear yellow helmets, but are NOT REQUIRED to do so. So Sky could just have chosen not to. The rules only give them the option to wear them

Not a fan of this, you even have people (david harmon eurosport) saying that they're surprised Fab is allowed to wear a yellow helmet! just wrong
