Naw. You are a pro. for which you live on the public and die by it too. He's moreover on a team that's surrounded by controversy at the moment, for which a lack of payments on the part of the employer only reinforces the controversy regarding all the circumstances we know, and, as such, Shleck should comprehend the absolute pertinence of the question being made. It was a fair inquiry, not an invasion of his privacy, nor a low blow. Though his reaction was as if it were a low blow. If he wants to be out of the kettle then he should not have jumped in it. To reiterate he wasn't asked how much he makes, but only if he's been paid.
He wasn't asked specifically about the state of his bank account, but if his team is paying him. Given the situation, if he doesn't like the question then he should change jobs.
The cycling public has a right to know about the controversy surrounding his current team. Thus if he is unhappy about being the center of attention in this matter, then he should not have worked with Bruyneel.
What gets me is the gall he has to respond indignantly about something he wasn't asked. It only makes these guys look like dicks.
