Hirschi has 4 top 10s with a podium, he would've won here in 2020 without Alaphilippe's deviation, he was 2nd in Amstel last week, of course he should be here.
Yes, but on another team. Ok, give him the benefit of doubt and maybe he does something useful today still since he was good in Amstel.

But he had 3 races this year in kind of a domestique role - Strade and MSR for Pogacar and RdV for Wellens/Politt - 68th, 112th, DNF. And that without being seen doing any significant work. MSR especially was shameful.

Van der Poel didnt make any extra becouse the Crash... Pidcock yes..so Van der Poel is at the same options that at the begining. I think is a race quite hard for him, but if he IS good is still to be podium. IMO he wont be top ten. Carapaz, Buitrago, Poels, Lusenko...looks great and as well Decatlón

I had expected more from UAE honestly. It's just been Novak. I thought they would make it harder with better riders already.

How is LBL a "monument" but Strade Bianche is not? Ridiculous.
Being a monument is basically decided by how old they are, and by the importance of the race. Lbl was first organised in 1891 or so, strade bianche in 2007. That´s why it isn´t a monument. Just as Milano-Torino (first organised in 1876) isn´t, because it´s not one of the most important races.

Fir the roster they have it always kind of turns out like that, no? Thats why I am constantly saying - rather bring the guys that are committed.

If they turn right at the top of Redoute (like last year), that descent was sketchy when wet. A lot off little bumps, some gravel from the sides washed on the road. Not the best asphalt. Especially the left turn. (Pidcock won some time back on Remco there).

But first this descent to Redoute.

Gall's placing is so awful. Not saying he has the legs anyway but the times he lost contact on some decent or is in the very back going in a climb is crazy...
