Why is the finish so far away from the Molenberg?

I think it is important that BMC gets a result here. They have one of the strongest teams if not the strongest team in the race.

I really don't like this race anymore, because of what they did to E3.
Lefevere even forbids Boonen to ride one of his absolute favorite races. No Boonen on the Taaienberg this year!

Organiser of E3 already said this might be the last year of the race :( :(

Hey VDB, as someone from Kortrijk, why don't you like GW? What's better about E3, if that's how to correctly read your comments. I've always thought GW was an excellent race.

I expressed my thoughts in the wrong way. GW often is indeed an excellent race, I don't dislike GW but E3 is just more exciting most of the time :)
What I do dislike is that Wouter Vanhoutte wanted E3 to move, just plain arrogance ...

I was shocked to see some big teams not entering the E3 like sky and HTC. I cant understand it when its 1HC. ?

May not be the teams. In February when It was raised with Sky they were under the impression they would be riding. Dont know if they withdrew or didnt get an invite. Be surprised either way.

Im going to put the kiss of death on sky and tip Chris Sutton (after the mother of all leadouts from Thomas the tank engine. )

I've got a hunch that Hayman will turn out to be Sky's top man in this.

I think the E3 result today actually made GW a whole lot more interesting.. If ever Tommeke needed a good ride, tomorrow is the day. Can you imagine his mentality going into Flanders if he is anything less than beastly tomorrow? If he's just OK he's not going to find the legs, OR the head, by next week, and maybe not even by Roubaix. Fabian couldn't be in a stronger position; scares the hell out of everyone today and goes home to relax and rest, while Boonen rides tomorrow and if he's not good gets hounded by the Belgian press all week. Yikes.

whats also interesting Fabian the Machine's actions yesterday made it so that many of the contendors at the E3 Prijs took it easy after they saw it was a mission impossible. So they'll be relatively fresh for tomorrow

Not sure if by any stretch of the imagination I would think they would be "fresh" tomorrow.. perhaps slightly fresher than if Fabian wasn't such a monster?.. I mean how many km's did they not race to their fullest? 20 at the most?

That is one awesome forum name you've chosen for yourself... but when cobble season is over it's just going to seem so 5 minutes ago! :D

Can anyone inform me where you guys get your results so quick?

I am over having to wait 3 hours, or even just go to bed and get the full run down the next day.

I really really want to see the full field results as quick as possible.

Last nights E3 had the top 10 results for over 3 hours at all the places I tried to look.

Yet people on here knew right down the order.

Any help anyone can give would be great.

Thanks

We watch the race :)

Otherwise, I mostly get my results here or at cqranking.com (which is suprisingly fast).

Cheers for that site.

I wish I could watch the race aswell, however what they show on paytv is patheticly limited, and I dont have the mb to watch a stream. Even then, I never see a run down right down to the 100's when you have head to heads from a punting persepctive.

Thanks again for the info, I hope to find out just how fast the site puts up the results with tonights race.

Good luck to all having a punt

Yes!!!! Gent Wevelgem finishes nice an early tonight for me in melbourne so I will still get a decent nights sleep.

EDIT: Steephill finish and start times are wrong as the riders would have to ride 60km/h to finish in that time
