Are these real roads or bicycle/hiking roads? (the ones in the forrest they just went through)

I thought the same thing. The turn off the climb looked bike path sized, but you couldn't get much more than a Smart car through there.

I was sceptical about Nick Nuyens but I think he's done better than most would have expected ... nice to see Saxo do well in non-Contador races

Hushovd just wasted a bunch of energy bridging to that move on his own.

Yea, made about as much sense as their tactics yesterday...

Guess he's proving the "Hushovd is the nr 1 wheelsucker"- guys wrong but it's kind of dumb. Well if it comes to a sprint in the end he has to do leadout for Farrar anyway so he might as well try something.

Well maybe Hushovd wasn't so stupid, QS put a man in the move and now the peloton has fallen back a little.

Nice little group forming in front. Rabnobus failing with no one there. Almost all other top teams represented

Pah, its diluted noq,

Peloton breaking apart chasing this group plus trying to make it hard for Cavendish, he's latched on the back but he has to be careful because its splitting everywhere.

Yea, just noticed that, and it looks like there is a smaller group trying to bridge too. There is definitely some horsepower there.

True. Here's to "dumb" racing!

Who's that QS in the move?

This is the kind of move that usually wins G-W, HTC are the only big team with any reason to chase it down.

Cancellara/Leopard too (unless I've missed someone).

I liked the juxtaposition between Hushovd bridging to the move and Cavendish getting a sling so he could move his fat **** up in the field. Nothing like working for a sprinter who blows at any opportunity.....pathetic!

I'll stand corrected if he flatted or whatever...I just tuned in...though I don't think that's the case.

Cav was off the back because of a flat, yes, although he probably would have been gapped on the Kemmelberg anyway.

It looks like this move is going to come back.
