Why oh why do I have this terrible feeling that Cavendish will win it???

If I could bring myself to do so, I'd bet on it.....

I know im not really going out on a limb at all but Boonen or Sagan for me.

Just remembering how strong Griepel was last year as well. Now that he will be riding for himself he could be a real threat.

I'm going to pick Boonen for the win. He's shown great form and I think that he truly has the mindset of a winner back after a couple of bad years... Sagan has to be an outside but Liquigas will have to make things really hard on the final climbs to shell out any remaining sprinters. That will surely test the unity between Sagan and Nibali. Hopefully after today's work by Sagan, Nibali will have given up any hard feelings over the Chieti incident and will work for Sagan if it comes to that in MSR, which it most likely will.

No he hasn't and no he hasn't.

Sagan & Nibali for a 1-2. :D

Sky is in the winning zone. Impressed with both eddie and cav sprint victories in T-A.

Dont understand the people who think that Cav will win this. Every team except Sky will want him dropped and he hasnt exactly shown any climbing form since 2009.

This is why Sky wont do a singel pull at the front, put Knees in the breakaway, and just hang on untill te final km and launch the train

And that will help how? Cav will lose a lot on the Poggio, too much to be brought back before the finish. The Poggio will be raced very very hard. EBH will be Skys best hope but he struggled with the distance last year.

Sagan is indeed looking rather scary.

At today's stage of Tirreno-Adriatico, Gatto was the first "sprinter" to finish (if you'll accept that tag for him), followed by Sagan at s.t., followed by Ventoso at16". He and Rojas can't be discounted. Breschel arrived at 20" but my CQ would hate it if he bacame this year's Nuyens ;)

Of course the puncheurs will race it hard. All depends on how they get organised afterwards. Lotto, GreenEdge, 1T4i and Sky will all likely want to bring it all back together. Others too, depending on what happens on the Poggio. I still think a bunch sprint is very likely, and if that's the case, a Cav win is therefore very likely. Cav and Griepel are favourites, for me.

I think the main problem was that his form was bad. He had to pull out of T-A after 2 stages with a hurting achilles and had to take a lot of days off the bike before M-SR. This year he's in much better condition.

I've heard from many reliable sources that there's only one rider in unbeatable form and he is going to show it on the Poggio

***** Sagan
**** Boonen, Cancellara
*** Freire, Gilbert, Greipel, Cavendish
** EBH, Hushovd, Goss, Degenkolb
* Haussler, Bennati, Breschel, Rojas

This is more or less what I think, maybe Rojas should be higher.

Yes. Be on the look out for scorch marks on the Poggio when he accelerates.

Having seen Sagan's form also, hearing this makes me salivate.

Oh come'on Phil won't do much at San Remo if he really is sick :p

Sick or not, he will try. And his acceleration should still be the fastest ;)

EDIT: Seriously though I still believe that Phil can make something of this MSR. It would not be the first time we've seen him do amazing stuff.
