Cav hasn't had the best year, He couldn't win Milan-San Remo, He lost the points jersey in the Giro by 1 point to Purito, he was only able to win 3 stages of the tour (his worst performance ever) and was never in the running for green, he wasn't able to win his biggest goal, the Olympic road race. He won a good quantity of races this season but a lot of the races he won aren't of very high quality or prestige.

2007 was worse

Anyway, I agree it wasnt a very good year for cavendish, not bad of course, but not as good as the years before. And in the years to come it will only become harder for him. The competition is now a lot better than it was in 2008-2010 IMO.

I honestly feel sorry for him-the best sprinter in the world-is yet to find a team a year past because of team interests/conflicts & sponsors contracts-- He's really getting wore down by this BS-is like every time he seeks stability, the obstacles keep coming at him......

Judging by his last 2 wins in this year's Tour, I'd say he's going to keep making the rest look silly. And having Tom as one of his *****es can only help him keep stacking up the wins.

Boonen being his leadout will make Cav lose even more races.

Boonen hates the Tour, what makes you think he'll be there? Sponsors won't pressure him to start anymore if Cav signs for OPQS.

Champs Elysees sprint suits Cav so well because it's short and they don't race until they hit the circuit. It's the most prestigious kersmiskoers in the world if you ask me.
