Well, I think "Mark L's" response to me above should be considered confirmation of that. He's deliberately avoided answering my very simple question, all while injecting obfuscation and feigning defensiveness.
When I pointed the contradictions in his claim that he hadn't had previous, direct interaction with me, he cited my superior memory (or words to that effect) as his excuse.
I find his last response to me, in this thread, to be the most telling.
How anyone could think his posting style is anything other than a silly, little game—albeit a deliberate one—is beyond me.
The fact that he was banned shortly after his arrival here only proves the disruptive nature of his activity.

That said were our friend's repeated references to Vickers yesterday an attempt to claim he himself was Vickers? My original suspicion of late 2014 ebandit hacker being Vickers stemmed largely from his incessant defense of vickers.
Firstly when I said Vickers was a banned troll he went ape **** saying that I was "dehumanizing" Vickers and laughably claimed that sockpuppetry isn't trolling.

He then went further and clearly took further attacks on mv's reputation very personally culminating in him saying Bickers was 10x the poster I was.

Yesterday he was trying to say he and not the spud where Vickers and therefore hog was wrong.

Whatever the story behind the troll account that mv was, I feel.more confident with every episode that I was right in my original claim that Vickers was neither Irish not a lawyer and both were attempts to lend respect and an illusion of impartiality to the account in the same manner Joachim used when he claimed.not to be British (later turned out he was)

There was a familiar circular ring to the former posts from Vickers and the new ebandit.

The Jesus claim from the faux ebandit was most telling. Spud also once accused me of being racist which was well in line with the old Vickers tactic.

I think Sceptic or Sniper once put a Vickers post side by side with a Spud post. Just about an exact match.

I don't mind that Spud is a former poster, he should just be honest about it.

Agreed. And that surprises me actually. I never thought he'd be able to stay away.

He had a good knowledge of the sport as well. Some of his funniest stuff would get deleted though. But I don't miss the derailments, that's for sure.

I've been wondering why this forum has a certain *je ne sais quoi* that I love. I think it's the history and the almost pantomime rivalries that spring up.

2 weeks is way too harsh. 3 days is enough to send a message.

Netserk and Granville are two of the most well balanced and considered posters. I'm not sure it's justified giving them a 2 week ban each. I ask the mods to reconsider.

Occasionally a forum needs some crazy times and there needs to be some latitude. Yes they broke the rules in answering back a mod but their track record speaks for itself.

Can they be reinstated after 3 days?
