Been hearing about some of this wonderkids for awhile.
Will be interesting to see if they evolve like Del Toro. Or if they are overhyped.

At least a lot of countries are represented. Belgium, Italy, Spain, Norway, ...
No young dutch climbing talents? Maybe they're all too tall.

9 different nationalities in the top10 of the Tour de l'Avenir bodes really well for the future. Many of them under 20, so they should have plenty of room to grow further.

Seixas confirmed that so far, he is the strongest of these youngsters, he was supposed to ride the Tour de l'Ain before the Tour de l'Avenir but skipped it due to illness and still won the overall with a decent gap.

I was also really impressed with Widar, his punch really is superb, the only thing I worry about with him is his flat TT which wasn't really tested in this Tour de l'Avenir.

Finn is also a really a big talent, looked very good in the mountains and he is the youngest of this lot.

Didn't know Ramirez before this race but he seems a very good climbing prospect too. Probably not the most versatile guy though.

Despite the podium finish I am still not completely sold on Nordagen. He is already 20 and being on his second season with Visma, I expected a bit more given his insane VO2 max.

Omrzel missing the top10 was also a surprise after his U23 Giro win.

Nordhagen did struggle with mononucleosis earlier in the season, might have set back his development somewhat. His best performances have been quite good this year, but has really struggled with consistency.

Purito mark two would be quite fun though - crazy punch but zero TT.

U23 tt tomorrow, do we just use this thread?

Soderqvist should be the favourite as it's not crazy difficult, though I quite like the look of Decomble who has done really good efforts on hilly profiles in Gran Camino and Besseges. Widar apparently a DNS.

Widar has been battling glute pain for the past few days. Let's hope he can start the road race.
I expect Finn and Alvarez to do pretty well today, but yeah Soderqvist is the favorite. Thornley and Swarchzbacher would probably be contenders on a shorter course. Decomble and Vervenne could surprise.
