I think people here are pretty naive when it comes to bringing your own food products into China. China, as many other countries, has very strict import regulations when it comes to bringing along any meat, plants or products derived thereof. In short, you are not allowed to bring along your won food, end of sort.
Then as far as acquiring food in China, how would you go about getting assurance that it is actually non-contaminated food? Please, I am thrilled to learn how easy that supposedly is. I think it beggars belief that people make it out to be that easy. Do you rally suggest testing every piece of food before eating it. THt'as just not realistic.
In the same light I van hardly see Saxo or any other team risking taking along any PED's into China. Benefit would naturally be that they know what they are using in that case. :roll eyes: And as far as acquiring PED's in China, that seems to me to be even more risky than trying to ascertain you are eating uncontaminated food in as far as not knowing what you are putting into your body.
You could ban all meat consumption as Sundayrider suggests, but that still doesn't make it possible to bring your won (other) products into China. And how sure can you be that none of the other products (vegetables, rice, milk, etc.) have nothing untoward in them. China has a long history of food scares and food scandal, so you will be at risk no matter what you do.
Does this aleman that Rogers didn't need ingest clem intentionally? Nope, but I sure would like to keep an open mind until more details become known. As it is, food contamination is still very much a possibility in this particular case and this particular instance.
