Perfect! Thank you. The problem with that advice is chicken ranchers use clenbuterol just like beef ranchers. Same effects, more muscle, less fat. Your chicken will sell at a higher price.

In the EU, the regulatory environment for meat supply is excellent, so an athlete can have confidence in the meat eaten will not turn them positive. My understanding is China does not have the same level of regulatory effectiveness.

No really. People have been warned about meat in China and teams take steps to avoid contamination in Beijing.

He is either unlucky, stupid or negligent. And good luck proving the unlucky part.

Edit: stupid goes under negligent.
Quoted for truth, check please. Marginal loss.

I'm so confused it feels like I'm back in the 90's. Riders don't dope anymore these days so why did Rogers test positive

Call me a romantic but I miss the good old days when people were getting caught for man stuff like EPO, CERA, etc. Now it's Clenbuterol, used to get the weight down. What's cycling these days, a beauty contest or what?

well, if riders aim to beat Armstrong times up the mountains while staying under the radar, sophisticated cocktails will be needed.

Yea the Aicar/clen/others are compensating for the restrictions on blood-doping. Can't go to crazy because of the BP. Results are very impressive indeed :D

Good to see another journo come out on the right side

Here we go again.

The Australian explained to the team management that he never ingested the substance knowingly nor deliberately and fears that the adverse analytical finding origins from a contaminated food source.
Michael Rogers participated in Tour of Beijing the week before the Japan Cup and travelled directly from China to Japan.

Haha why is it more funny because it's Rogers?

Clen, at the end of the season, after racing China. You know, it probably *is* a case of contaminated meat.

And I love it. Screw Rogers, he's had it coming for a looong while.

(Before anyone cries witch hunt or whatever: "no significant negligence" gets you a half sentence. Eating meat in China? ****ing significant negligence right there)

Doesn't Landis still claim that he was doping in '06 Tour but that they got him for Testosterone when in actual fact that time he wasn't taking T or something like that?

How many of Riis's riders have tested positive now?

So Rogers doped on T-Mob and now Saxo but not Sky where he had his best season?

I agree. Any cyclist eating Chinese meat in China fails the IQ test.

I also thought clen clears from the system pretty quickly, especially if it's the result of contaminated meat (in which case the dosage is likely to be pretty low compared to a clen regimen). It might depend on when he left China for Japan, as it could be difficult to claim contaminated meat eaten 5 days ago.
