Landa said he has bruises everywhere. With the relatively easy stages coming this week, he should survive till Sunday.
That’s not great news. It always takes a lot of energy away from the body to recover. Might be energy he needs later on.

But it will make the Giro more exciting, because without this Landa would have won with more than 5 minute advantage. ;)

Yeah, i had the feeling he was the strongest yesterday, but couldn't go deeper with his fall. Let's hope he can recover quickly before the Aprica stage.

People always forget that stage Contador attacked after Landa had his mechanical. Astana wouldn't reel the Spaniard in, because Aru was having problems potentially losing his podium spot to Amador and Yuri Trofimov.

Otherwise Landa might've pulled the 2 attacks on Cervinia and Finestre. Yes he could've won like Leclercq always states. Not would have, but certainly could have. It's 1 minute less advantage for Contador then. Doable.

Aru destroyed Landa's & Rosa's biggest career victories. Horrible guy.

Landa attacked on Cervinia, but was marked by Contador (who let Aru go).

The thing to do was to attack early on Madonna di Campiglio once they had Contador isolated, they should have tried a 1-2 with Landa attacking first, forcing Contador to chase.

Bit weaker today, so very interested to see him tomorrow. Today was a stage that doesn’t suit Landa, but tomorrow should be better for him.

Either we can write him of after tomorrow for GC victory, or it is probably the best situation he has been in going into a final week.

He burned a lot of matches trying to follow the initial attacks on Superga, if he had just paced himself then I suspect he would end with Pozzovivo. Today was a very different stage profile to what is to come so there is still hope.

The hot weather of last week is not good for him...the same is very good for Pozzovivo or Valverde, burt today more fresh weather and a real mountain stage.

We will see!!

Honestly, I rate his chances to win as the lowest amongst the top four's. Sure, there's still plenty of mountains to climb but today he tried to push and couldn't really get a gap to the others, just barely to Almeida. The TT coming up, while not exactly the longest, doesn't favour him at all. He needs to go ballistic ASAP.

Having some easier final climbs would actually be more ideal to help gain time back on Carapaz and Hindley who are more likely to look at each other when drafting is actually significant unlike on the steep stuff.
