Mikel Landa Discussion Thread

Does Landa have a habitual bad day. He had a terrible day at La Vuelta last year, but I don't recall any days like this in previous grand tours.

I agree. I feel he's the most consistent GT rider out there, with the exception of Pogacar & Vingegaard, who are a level above the rest.

Personally for me a bit disappointing for the mountains. I think valentin PP was due for the giro but seems to have disappeared??

Wish they would take van welder or vansevenent as an extra hills support for Mikel. He will be alone a lot

It's not the best team, but Cattaneo, Knox, Garofoli and Hayter for the small hills are good helpers for Landa. It would be great if he can win this GT.

A shame he lost his last big opportunity to finish inside the top3 in a GT. I hope he recovers well for future events. I wish a speedy recovery for him.

Even if he continues the race, he lost too much time to even do anything. It's better he focus on the Tour and Vuelta

I don't see the Tour. I hope they don't rush it. Even if he makes it he'll be completely useless there with no form.

Just has to announce 100% he’s doing the Vuelta and they’ll try and make it work for him and by extension Mas.

They usually do spinal surgery if it’s a bad break, otherwise they try other means first to see if it heals properly.

Yeah, it looked bad. Comeback towards the end of the season is possible.
