Yes, most likely spinous process, a not an uncommon break of back. I broke T10 years ago. A little painful but healed no problem
Absolutely devastating injury for pro bike racer..will need weeks of wait and see with complete withdrawal from core or cycling exercises. Specialists will okay some gradual expansion, no doctor will say no problem, no way. Because of extraordinary pro athlete fitness, better off than 99.99% of the population, but will get weeks of cautious observation if break is visible, no doctor will push cord damage. Dude get stem cells!!!
