Secured podium I guess. He can take on Pogi on the Poggio and for sure on the descend. If they can't drop vdP it doesn't matter probably and if the others come back a podium spot, or a win, is much harder to get.

He needs to work enough for these three to stay away; he has vastly better odds of a podium in a group of three than if the group comes back. Needs to be canny, yes, but he can't just sit on I wouldn't think. Now Lidl is chasing so there isn't a choice anyway imho.
