People discounting Cavendish on the basis of getting dropped on La Manié don't seem to be aware of one key fact: he was dropped at that exact same place last year.

No-one is really taking the race on yet, the pace is high but not painfully so. Boonen looking a bit ruffled now.

Yeah, I'm noticing a LOT of frowns on this climb. Pippo is looking like Di Luca in last year's Giro.

He's not too far off the back, he may yet catch back on, but it doesn't bode well for the Poggio.
