That was the right way to play it though, whereas Pedersen did the opposite and lost.

I do like it when descending makes the difference, but...everyone else kind of failed to try once Mohoric got a few seconds. Glad to see MvdP mostly back.

MvdP tried a few times. But imagine putting such a gap on the descent to the likes of MvdP and WvA. Mohoric took a looot of risk (that buny hop was awesome) and he's a deserved winner.

It's a shame that organizers and camera teams seem oblivious (well they are aware but don't care) to motopacing because it's overshadowing a fantastic descent attack and win.

I mean, the bikes can't dissapear on the descent...

Yes, they made the race what it was. I'm just glad these two riders have topped the podium. Too often, Turgis in particular, have animated a race when no one else would, but got no reward.

Hmm, not sure. Without Mohoric going bananas on the descent Démare might have made it back, and Ewan would likely have done better still.

Once again Roglić showed that he doesn't have the same endurance for monuments as Pogačar and that cost Van Aert the win today. Pogačar did a great race by the way beating Pedresen and Van Aert in the final sprint. Glad to see Van der Poel back with a podium.

Nice win, a real Mohoric win as he usually always wins the same way. Thought for a second that Matthews was going to do something but his non commital racing style in the last km usually goes against him these days. While others are chasing he is swinging off the back............another top five oh well.
