What a race. Longest finale I've ever seen here thanks to Pogacar, Van der Poel back at his best looking ready to save the cobbles season, Mohoric almost killing himself then almost having it be for nothing because his chain dropped. Yes the motors played a role but easy to forgive it when the excitement levels were this high.

He lost position a couple of times. Had to do a couple of sprints at the bottom of the Poggio just to get in position. Lost valuable energy for the decisive attacks at the top IMO

It's a shame that organizers and camera teams seem oblivious (well they are aware but don't care) to motopacing because it's overshadowing a fantastic descent attack and win.
