What a race. Longest finale I've ever seen here thanks to Pogacar, Van der Poel back at his best looking ready to save the cobbles season, Mohoric almost killing himself then almost having it be for nothing because his chain dropped. Yes the motors played a role but easy to forgive it when the excitement levels were this high.

Well that's set the standard for all future MSRs. Attack after attack. And two of the most attacking riders in the peleton get their reward. Really pleased for Turgis. Hope he can take a monument one day.

I do like it when descending makes the difference, but...everyone else kind of failed to try once Mohoric got a few seconds. Glad to see MvdP mostly back.

It's a shame that organizers and camera teams seem oblivious (well they are aware but don't care) to motopacing because it's overshadowing a fantastic descent attack and win.
