I posted in the "Floyd to be charged with fraud" thread and my post has been deleted? Why has it been deleted?

There has been no Private Message from a mod? And no message from a mod in the thread in question?

The sequence of events went something like this -

i think a little gentle humor is a much needed commodity here, but it seems that others disagree with that sentiment. you were the unfortunate victim of that disagreement. but i thought it was funny.

At a guess I would suggest that that piece of the thread was considered to be off topic and that when the posts around yours were removed it made it pointless to leave yours in place so it was removed too

You are correct. The mod who removed my post has made contact via PM.. all good.

That is why we rely on the users to report problems.

Also, the Scarponi thread just got shut down due to it being off topic.....off topic because the resident pie-in-the-sky AC fanchild came in throwing feces around her cage again about how bad poor little AC has been treated. This is because of how mean Scarponi is by wearing the number 1 and the pink jersey in the prologue. Have you ever heard such BS? She is no longer a fan of Scarponi lol. I'm not making this up.

Instead of just deleting her posts or telling her to finally STFU by PM, our newest moderator feels the needs to flex his/her muscles and close a thread many of us are interested in.

The thread was also going into clinic related stuff, so if i wanted i could have just give away a few strikes to some posters (which for some would lead to at least a 24 hour ban) and keep the thread open.

I decided to temporarily close thread so you guys could calm your hormones down and avoid unnecessary strikes.

Exactly. I just wanted to say my opinion as for Scarponi's Maglia Rosa but couldn't find a thread where I can do it. With his prologue, Scarponi gave a lot of food for thought and surely he deserves a separate thread.

Perhaps, I'd say they were ably assisted by BB and Volkswagen Boy with a late innings drive by strafing from yourself and Cal Coffee. BB needed to drop the "Floyd owes money to the rich guys that LA talked into donating to FFF" argument quite some time ago. It is a non winner.

the termination of that thread was a mercy killing. 115 pages of the same crap? there weren't more than 30 reasoned, thoughtful, intelligent responses in the whole bunch (coincidentally the number of posts i had)

while there was some really funny stuff in it, it's time to let this one go.

Hugh - you're right. What I should have said is that when news pops up, or someone has a fresh insight on the matter, they should make a new thread.

Who the **** say this is a fantasy world? so all mods were busy is what you are trying to tell me? ..That particular poster has been known to troll time and again and how long will he be able to continue? you should read some of his post when you are not at the doctors or work or something.

Yes. We all have full-time jobs/obligations outside of the forum. Yes, the forum is one of the duties for which I am paid by Future, but even I have days off, like today.

We simply do not have the manpower to cover the forum 24 hours a day.
