deleting posts

In a similar vein, I went to apologise to someone who had posted off topic and I accused him of knowing nothing about what he has posted.

I did a bit of research afterwards, and discovered, he did know something about it (even if technically he was wrong)
I went to apologise, and couldn't find either post: no doubt both deleted.

Would it be too difficult to develop a programme which gives a PM to posters whose post has been deleted?
Saying why??

When his statements are religiously quoted in doping threads this thread should stay up to say more about this nobody attention addict. Just to clear up the fact that he is an angry attention ***** and what he says means nothing from doping pov.

you're free to quote it, a closed thread is still available to everyone. I closed it because there was nothing good coming out of it. It was just bad taste. What kind of discussion could it arise?

Not true it would give all the idiot Froomeboys a place to bang on against someone who is in a position to call Froome out on his not normal performance. They need some sort of outlet, and you mods have taken it away from them.

Are we not allowed to discuss things said (or tweeted) in poor taste? Neither the topic nor any of the posts justified that decision. Sometimes, oftentimes, moderators are not needed.

I would never use sir for a Brit except in a sarcastic manner and I resent some jerkoff mod editing my posts to include it. I would also never use the term "Wiggo" in a non-sardonic way.

The mods should seriously not be changing the titles of peoples threads unless the title is insulting in some way or unless they consult with the OP before hand.

Please provide an explanation for why the title was changed.

Bison. It isn't just the Sir, he also changed Wiggins to Wiggo. It was an attempt to make it less incendiary by making it about the Clinic persona more than about the actual person or something like that, but I'd say it backfired spectacularly.

I doubt the change of Wiggins to Sir Wiggo makes any real difference, though it did have the one advamtage in that it got BroDeal throthing at the mouth
