So I take it trolling is allowed but calling someone out on it isn't? Guy is my ignore, but keeps getting quoted, and don't really get the idea that reporting works very much. It's the same thing everytime

- Find a standpoint most people disagree with
- Repeat it over and over again
- Use twisted, pseudo-rational arguments to pretend you're the one being rational to wind people up
- rinse and repeat

I understand as mods that you need to support each others decisions, but imo you need to talk to Maxiton. He's plain rude. Look at Irondan's response.

The thread was stickied temporarily.

It's really not that big of a deal.

Please don't go hyperbolic over something so trivial. It'll be unstickied just as fast as it was stickied.

If you have an issue with the thread, just don't read it. :)

The discussion over this thread being stickied is off topic, if you would like to continue it please do so in the moderators thread.

Cheers :)

Very nice and non combative.

Then there's Maxiton.

Discuss it in the Moderators thread for as long as you like, just as Irondan said. That doesn't mean your discussion merits a response from the moderators.

PS. It will be unstickied when - and if - I feel like it.

Seriously? Maxiton your acting like a 12 year old. Seriously grow up. I think you'll have a better/easier time modding if you change your approach. Perhaps you don't HAVE to be kind in your moderation, but maybe you can do it out of a kind heart? Maybe?....As a mod you should hold yourself to a higher standard...even if your doing it for free.

Irondan and Tonton thanks for all you do and in the manner in which you do it.

Not the greatest way to respond to questions from psoters about why a particular thread has been stickied, I can't really work out why that thread was stickied in the first place

Maxiton edited his comment, removing this sentence.

You can discuss what he said but please stop quoting it. It's gone.

Cheers

That's just one quote. There's been others in the past. Maxiton needs to change his approach. Sometimes a mod might actually be doing something wrong.

And now you're deleting the posts of people who criticize you? Nice going.
You must be referring to the troll post that I deleted.

That happens when you post comments in the manner that you posted yours.

Please keep things civil in this thread, all forum rules apply and will be enforced.

It seems that many comments in this particular thread are deleted. I think the mods should be a lot more receptive to criticism, the iron hand is not the right way to go about things. Many feel frustrated about the way you dodge important question I think, thats at least how I feel.

Just because it's gone/deleted doesn't mean that is not how s/he means to control the crowd though, does it? I mean, the intent was already there...

Agreed, my point was that new quotes would be quoting something that was no longer there.

Discussing what he said is perfectly fine, as I previously alluded to.
