It is obvious we cater for a wide audience, all with their own interests. And all probably utterly bemused by what interest others.

So if we can all leave people the room to have their fun here, undisturbed, that would be sweet. Commenting on how little value those threads have, or how boring other people's interests and hang-ups are, after people clearly state they value them, with your posting history Polish, I would shut up now, to be frank. You are interested in some aspects of cycling more than others, and we certainly are lenient when it comes to letting you and others have your bit of fun. Make room for others too, and certainly respect the little space that these type of forum users take up, in the Clinic.

Since you have made it pretty clear that you have no interest in these sort of threads, I take that you will happily stay away from those thread types, Polish? Not sure if you ever posted in any of those, but if there are hardly any, you are advised to give these boring nitty-gritty threads a complete miss, from now on. Reasonable?

I just wanted to give a nod to one of the finest posts ever in this thread. Long overdue. Excellent work, Francois.

Have the mods gone on strike or something?

I was awaiting with interest a reply to Granville's question from three days ago, which has not been forthcoming. I have also been waiting in vain for replies from my PM.

What's going on?

They are too busy imposing their 50s morality on others.

Can we please do something about the doping talk in race threads? Today's TdSL thread was full of crap about AC doping and the CAS case, and then getting into discussion of who is a Lance fanboy, etc. It's just a lot of trolling and BS that takes away from the race, IMO.

Speaking for myself, I am on holiday in Colombia and will be for another week. Happy to swing back through the foum and ban a few people randomly to appear to be doing something if would prefer? ;)

That would be fun a forum run by Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Fats Domino, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Big Joe Turner, and Gene Vincent - we should try that ;)

Randomly banning someone? I just had a déjà vu.

They'll have to sit at the back of the bus.

Boomcie jumping on an obvious joke by a moderator in a sad attempt to try to score a topical point when nobody actually cares? I feel like I´ve been here before.. :D

There's always people who care. Even for lost causes like me. Topical points just aren't my thing.

When you say "stood their ground", you mean lied, baited, trolled, made plenty of petty personal remarks and added nothing of value to any discussion even though they were afforded the opportunity to present an argument many times but repeated their argument to attempt to inflame "you guys"......
ya, when they wash, rinse, repeat that, they will end up getting banned.

Don't feel too bad for them though, they can now come back and say that the mods are against them (might even make a tearful free speech argument) and that they are persecuted.

Not that we would ever comment on posters and give lots of detail about the rationale for anyone being banned short or long term. We do try to give an explanation in the Suspensions thread.

And just for reference we don't allow sock puppets on the forum especially when we ask nicely and people try to mislead :)

Thanks. I was mainly curious about the "for a long list of reasons" given in the suspension thread by palmerq. From where I am sitting, that "long list of reasons" means somebody has a contrary take on LA, and it gets the regulars' panties in a wad.

Sounds like palmerq let the reason for banning (sockpuppet) get intertwined with his personal agenda when posting the "reason(s)".

To be fair to Palmerq - there was a long list of reasons and it was long enough without adding anything from anyone's personal agenda.

Cool, then why would the mod team be averse to listing some of these reasons?

Don't mean to kill your point so quickly -but aren't you still here? Your position would be contrary? Polish? He is still here too....

Well, 180 probably think you should "try to give an explanation in the Suspensions thread" (his words). Maybe you should try harder for the sake of fairness, but I know you volunteer here so I understand if it is too much work to defend what you do.

So, are we gonna pluck a few reasons from the "long list of reasons" just to shed some light onto something here? I am sure it must be easy, like a baited field or shooting fish in a barrel. Surely there is something that is not so grotesque that us peasants can handle, right?

BTW, you still have yahoos running around the forum accusing people of being on Public Strategies and Livestrong payroll.
