I think the issue here is that some of the people moderating participate vigorously in the threads they moderate, with some pretty polarised views.

I don't think I've ever been part of any other forum where this is seen as anything other than really bad form.

It is possible but possibly not to the degree which is experienced here. Also there has to be point at which Moderators say no more no matter what. If they are going to get involved in the argument and become subjective then that is fine to a point, if they then draw a clear line as to what is fine and what is not. If they are letting some things go and then picking up other points then there is obviously something not right.

It shouldn't have been opened in The Clinic, but Wiggins receiving a knighthood deserved a thread. When a thread like that is closed after a pretty benign opening post, with a snotty remark from the moderator, the forum is really gasping for air. Ryder Hesjedal received an award this week, the thought of that thread must terrify the controllers. And now Lance Armstrong is nominated for Texan of the Year; our spastic mod better have his finger on the trigger and be ready to shoot all comers.

It wasn't snotty. It was threatening, and, in my opinion, and for reasons set out in my complaint, personal.

It was also pretty pathetic, all things told.

I'm pretty sure Martin isn't 'crying' over anything. That's just inflammatory language from yourself trying to get a reaction.

Attention-seeking behaviour. On the Internet. How embarrassing

I very much disagree.

Thanks to the mods keeping the forum readable, it's a thankless job, but thanks for doing it.

Seriously, dude, stop trolling.

I could give a damn about locked threads. Implied threats, however, I don't intend to stand for, even on the internet.

that's for the site to decide. I have no public opinion on that.

i will be quite content if he simply stays away from me and my posts, and allows another administrator/moderator to do the job properly.

If you genuinely have a problem with a moderator I suggest contacting the owners of the site, they are the ones with the physical power to promote/demote.

Might be I'm just paranoid, but lately it's almost as if the forum is being taken over by. posters that signed up this autumn, and only ever post in threads about sky.

Funny that you say to other members to stop trolling.

I'm sure Parrulo will be fine, as he should, you really overreacted...

The clinic has largely become a binary battle on precisely that basis. Bad enough, but made much worse if the moderators pick sides...

Well, I don't really care, it's very much offseason, after all. Hopefully, by the time het volk is on, "normalcy", or what may pass for it around here, will ensue.

to me this looks like a very desperate attempt to bully an admin into being afraid of taking action against you. . . fyi doesn't appear to be working.

also people that expect mods to be opinion-less robots who only visit this site for the purpose of moderating must be insane as all mods were members before they became mods.

You are entitled to your opinion, of course. But I don't have to take it seriously, thankfully...

is there any need to have that condescending attitude towards a poster that simply disagreed with you in a polite manner? but what do i know i am a biased hater after all who have a personal vendetta against a poster on the internet. . . .

Its very obvious that on certain parts of the forum the dice are loaded. You are a facilitator of this.

The above is a perfect example. Why did you feel the need to comment on that, and yet ignore the torrents of abuse that get thrown at people who dare question the view that Sky are doping?

lies damned lies

I have been reading the Sky clinic thread for a while and this posters trolling is just getting a bit ridiculous.

i'm completely in agreement the member you refere to trolls away often

completely making claims up

they are increasingly ridiculous.............other members state so yet? they

are tolerated by mods
