Although I didn't do the moderation in question, I do believe that "making a crack" about child abuse is not in good taste and certainly not funny and pretty harmless. Nothing to do with child abuse is.

The posts were deleted, and probably can't be recovered (without a hack), so what is it that you want the other mods to do? Admit that Westemeyer is still the top dog, despite her announced semi-retirement? As if that was ever in question. Come on.

Anyway, I didn't see the post(s), but it's hyper PC to want people banned over what they "wish" to happen to some other person in a heated debate on a controversial issue. Context matters. It can happen. Not a big deal.

Is it consistent with other mod interventions on this site? No, but do you want more overly aggressive mod interventions, only for the sake of consistency? What does that solve. Really.
