Can a mod please move the posts in the Pros and Cons of a Vegan Diet starting in mine #129 (as I don't know if kingjr would be keen on having his name in the first post of the thread) to a thread in the Café with the name Veganism or something similiar (it needs to be created (I can, if you move the posts there)) because they are going off-topic. The thread is supposed to be about health but the discussion going on is about animal cruelty and related morality. If you feel like it's better where it is, okay.

on a slightly different note,
one of the lamest things reoccurring in the Clinic is certain posters without any apparent interest in the topic of a given thread entering that thread and telling the main contributors to that thread to stop posting.
i'm thinking of rownhamhill, kingjr and nick777 in the windy mountain thread. sorry for singling you guys out, but you've provided the most recent examples that spring to mind.
so to be sure, the same phenomenon is occurring regularly in other threads.
posters only dropping in to take some high moral ground.
could these guys/girls mind their own boring business?

To be fair to myself it's not a re-occurring habit on my part, but fair enough I can see why it might be annoying.

It's certainly not the lamest thing in the clinic though. The trolling, baiting, insults and pointless back and forth along the lines of: 'it was a head wind', 'no it was a tail wind', 'no it was a headwind', 'no it was a tailwind' ad infinitum certainly all have stronger claim to that crown.

Well when some talk about the posting/ban history of posters and have a signup date of August 2014, it's pretty clear they're a sock puppet.

I don't care whether they are or they aren't. It's perfectly simple to report someone you suspect without plastering it several times over every thread. It's just another way that threads in the clinic are becoming unreadable and is very easily fixed.

Probably true. A lot of threads recently are just back and forth point scoring arguments about nothing.

The clinic is just descending into the mire and both sides of these on-going arguments are to blame and its a real shame.

If by discussion, you mean, "hang *** on posters who are sick of Sky and their dodgy performances", then no, I do not think it detracts from the discussion one fricken iota.

Feel free to out me, by the way, I'll stand by my "this is not a discussion, it's a poster bash fest" claim all the way.

Actually, you weren't someone I noticed doing it except that one time in this thread.

The problem is any useful discussion gets put to the side when these discussions go on. And there used to be useful discussions, not that long ago.

As I clearly said to Sceptic, it's both sides who are just as bad as each other, but the sock-puppet thing is one that's easily dealt with, just like calling people trolls.

The stupid petty insults and digs are just as annoying, but they can just be reported, I thought it was worthwhile bringing this one up as it seems to have become very prevalent and something people think is easy to use to dismiss people, rightly or wrongly.
