i think you should be required to post in the lemond thread

I agree. Since no mods have responded to our posts being deleted the other day, and another one of mine being deleted yesterday, it must be a technical glitch. Usually I would get a PM from somebody, except if it was Barrus who did the cowardly drive-by deletions, or the coward rational head from DPF. I trust a Barrus-like character has not returned in another form. So, it must be a glitch.

I will copy/paste my posts onto a word document in the future so I can repost them when they mysteriously disappear. The forum will be better for it, because this voice of reason deserves to be heard.

I did see where someone called you a minion.
After that I have no idea what you would have posted since it must have not stayed up on the thread very long.

Maybe the moderators are tired of you, and your "minions" trying to bring Lemond down with your hate brigade? :D

i posted a link to the lemond "brain fart" performance in the lemond appreciation thread and it got deleted with no explanation. i can only assume that censorship is alive and well here. so much for balance

Mods have been editing or deleting posts since March 2009 and only now you assume that censorship is alive and well here?

Or perhaps I called out everyone in public and did not resort to PMs. Or in amny cases I considered people to be smart enough to understand themselves why something was deleted.

Also perhaps I still have some moderation powers, I don't know I had them long enough after I stopped as a mod and am not on here often enough anymore to notice

I assume you mean censorship along the lines of "oh no he insulted rider xyz, we have to delete that, nly nice things can be said about rider xyz in this forum."

That does not happen here. I personally don't really know who supports or dislikes any specific rider or team and more importantly, I don't care.

I do delete postings for other reasons, such as obscenities, insults to users or mods, off-topic matters, rants, and so on. If you can provide me a link to whatever deleted posting you are referring to, I would be glad to look at that posting.

But censorship in the sense of deleting an unpopular or unwanted opinion? No.

A question for Parrulo - why close the Armstrong Hawaii Ironman thread? It is a specific event so doesn't belong in a general LA thread. God knows he takes up too much of this forum, but the thread seemed valid. I agree that the discussion would eventually head to the Clinic territory, but it has to live to have that chance. I thought his result was impressive and worth discussion.

PS I was just going to commend Parrulo for taking that initiative...it was almost certainly headed there like immediately?

don't you guys pm each other?

anyway, thanx Parrulo and PS you have the patience of a saint ;)

I partially agree with you. The real issue is that it is not a Road Racing result/race. If and that's a pretty big if, the power that be can add a TriGeek section to the main CN page (I bet it cost a couple hundred grand being all bold and italic) they should add a TriGeek section to the forum, otherwise we might/will have Track/MTB/Unicycle results in the Road Racing section because of a TriGeek ride being allowed in the Road Racing section.

Or do we also move all TriGeek related stuff to the Clinic? Humm... I'm OK with that :D As we know all TriGeek "discussions" will head there anyway.

Certainly not road racing. General perhaps, but we know it would end up in the clinic eventually. Moving it is not the issue, closing it is.

well for starters iron man results and discussions don't belong in the road race section, nor in any actual section(bike racing related) on the forum to be honest being probably the general discussion one the place where it should be posted as it happens with the of any results and discussions of many other sports.

Then who are we kidding here? We all know where any lance armstrong thread will head as soon as we see the tittle so why would i let the thread stay on the road section when i would have to close it anyway in the near future and probably give a couple warnings?

if you read my post on the locked thread i also tried and apparently successfully incentive the OP into posting on an already existing thread about lance armstrong on the clinic instead of creating a new one.

so all in all, i would call this a pretty good day at the office
