Wait a minute, I know why! The mods enjoy to delete random posts which they don't like because they have nothing better to do, especially in July when they are sitting twiddling their fingers on the keyboard. Hope they are enjoying the down time

So are the mods busy still deleting what happened? Yea, locking the thread a moderator posted that in isn't going to kill what happened is it, especially with all the posts saved away for rebuttal of said actions.

Are you serious? Take a step back and get a little perspective - this is a cycling forum run by volunteers - for fun (hopefully) :)

No but it's annoying because I don't know what I'm doing wrong so I can't change anything right?

I am disgusted by the fact that I am not allowed to say nasty things about Wiggins but others are allowed to say nasty things about Alberto.
There is your answer :p

Then, I expect the same treatment of the users right? Its all for fun after all.

Seriously as you are.

PS: Left off why would a jovial comment from a Mod be removed then?

Answer to what?

As has been said lots before, but it's not a bad thing to repeat, the Mods don't always get it right ... however believe me very few posters (if any) get banned without discussion and/or without reason. I guess we reserve the right to not always share all the deatils ... we have tried this at various times in the past and it was often problematic.

Not all posts that get flagged get edited or deleted but most that are subject to moderation are moderated as a result of being flagged by other forum users.

The most common reason(s) for a post being removed is 1) Way off topic 2) Insulting another member 3) Innappropriate language

We really don't just delete stuff for the sake of it or for fun.

So which one of the three was it that caused a particular mod's jovial comment to be removed?

Honestly got no idea. Maybe the original poster removed it??

What is really the concern here? Is the suggestion that the Mods are not playing fair or that people genuinely don't understand the rules or ... ?

Genuinely curious.

You should really read the first paragraph first before making such statements.

Mistakes are mistakes and to get all hyped up about them is really unnecessary, the moderation though sometimes lacking ,but that is due to time and number of staff factors, is generally at a very high standard and too jump on the bandwagon at the slip of the keyboard is a bit desperate imo.

Fun, serious, rules, you are stating a lot with no info on what is going on? I should be the that is  at your replies, please go re-read your mod thread (the one some users cannot) and get back to me.

The answer to La Florecita's question which I quoted and then answered with the subsequent quote.

No it isn't. It was a completely serious post in the Frank thread in the Clinic. Nothing to do with Wiggins.

...I swear La Florecita is almost a sane, objective person compared to the newly registered Sky-British horny users.

They have rather taken the wind from her sails fanperson wise. It has been surprisingly huge here though. A lot of people gravitating towards success like moths to a flame.

some of them are here to obviously troll though. Probably former banned trolls. I mean - when you get people saying these were the most exciting mountain stages since Fignon, i somehow doubt they are hitting such big pressure points by coincidence.

So true! Nothing provides perspective like seeing some of the nutbars dropping in, guns blazing, being enraged that folks in the clinic dare to accuse Wiggo of something, and then saying everyone that is posting has a problem  It is like PTSD from Pharmstrong fanboyism.

They are just following the Americans, as usual, with a severe case of short man's syndrome. Unleash the lap dogs of war!
