Well, where can I start? My man-love for Valverde and my almost blind support of every Spanish speaking rider. See I can relate with the both of them.:D

That's why we had a heated debate last year over the dauphine incident with contador and valverde riding together as a TEAM. my favourite and your favourite rider don't seem to like each other so their was always going to be an opinion clash.

On evans' diary entry he said he had a cold so that explains the very unusual bad performance. It also explains why evans didn't rip it apart and bash sky like a baby seal!:D Also he gave up his wheel as he was feeling crap!

All is solved!

Well it takes Evans to have a bad performance immediately after I post a testament to his ability to consistently be competitve in virtually every event he enters. Doesn't he know how rare my supportive Evans posts are??

Thanks Cuddles!

I can't accept compliments of evans from a Valverde supporter. Their is some conspiracy plan going on with you and Valverde!:D

What a race! It's great...unlike my health... Had a heap of breath taken away by some stupid little cold but I still got out there and got dusty on the 'strade bianche', gravel roads with a bit quarts sort of stuff makes them white.

Through the hills of Tuscany in the cold but sunny air on smooth asphalt and then onto the back roads behind the farms in the dirt. Great concept!

The race started in a very professional and calm manner until 80km to go when it really got going. I was behind with Micheal (Schar) and Brent (Bookwalter) whom were both riding 10x better than me, even gave my wheel at one point - pat myself on the back for that one - but we never saw the front again, disappointing but I'd rather have our punctures and illnesses now than in Tirreno or Giro.

A great test of equipment, and a good experience for stage seven of this years Giro. Tirreno starts Wednesday...

dim if you had anything to do with the vid, thanks man, nice work

yes thanks dim, watching vids right now. Rogers looked the strongest but all his attacks were brought back. he would of been able to ride away if he didn't attack and race so early.

Awesome race, just awesome. So beautiful there and the narrow dirt roads. You just want to be there on your bike.

Yep. Amazing race brought to life by Dim's footage (the moto/s seemed to get so close at times I found myself urging the pilot not to lose the wheel in front). Even CN finally got into the act (visually at least) by putting up some of the best race action and context photos I have seen in a while.

The alternating efforts of all those finishing in or near the top 10 was gripping viewing.:)
