He crushed Alpe d'Huez in 2012, so why exactly is it a surprise to see him doing well in smaller mountainous races? Also, he uploads all the rides including power data.

Is he a doper? Maybe, i wouldn't bet a penny on him being clean.
Is he a mechanical doper? Surely not.

I spoke to this guy and he insists that it is because his backup bike was underweight - he changed bikes after another rider saw a crack on his frame. The backup had a single front chainring 48t and 10-42 on the back.

Also saw a report that has the commissaires also saying it's a matter of weight - http://jpnn.com///read/2016/05/14/408385/news.php?id=408385

Seems like that team shouldn't have been at the race anyway because they only started with 3 riders.

Re: Moto-fraud: first rider caught

Jeebus. Only Cookson could do something this stupid: Take something beyond the pale like using a motor, conflate it with bikes that are too light, and let the press report on it as though DQs might be due to motor use. Idiot!

Re: Moto-fraud: first rider caught

According to l'Equipe, he brought a spare bike for parts, and befre the start, another rider noticed that his frame was cracked. The spare had one chain ring, weighted 6.2kg. No motor, then, but as LS brought up, some very suspect performances in recent past.

They do -- even more so because he has already served a doping ban in the past.

A bit more info on Femke's case:

“The whole team had walkie-talkie radios, ear pieces and seemed pretty anxious and, overall, just a bit odd. I’d never seen that before and it kind of stuck in my head.”
This surpises me as the team did not use any hight tech communication equipment while stealing parakeets. They also did not look anxious at all during the operation.

Landa's bike appeared to have wheels of it on when he corrected his slight crash. The bike just takes off on its own, he's not actually pedalling...

Did he crash with a stuck motor?

You are really reaching on Landa again, this time way more ridiculous than him performing well in a hilly, rainy ITT.

Did he crash with a stuck motor?

Now you're really reaching; why would he be using a motor on a slippery wet descent that allows you to reach the maximum safe velocity easily without the aid of motors?

Moreover, if his motor was "stuck" in the on-position, then why did it magically turn off allowing him to brake and come to a halt in the corner? If it were as simple as braking to turn it off, then he would have had no trouble disabling it by braking before the corner instead of nearly missing it.

Did you ever see a rider breathing? Maybe that's indicative of mechanical fraud as well. I don't know how, but I bet you're able to come up with a theory for it.

Google translate...

Cancellara Rumor

Le secret of Fabian Cancellara? A dynamo hidden in his pedal, allowing it to move faster. The fantasy is all the more funny it turned into a rumor in the peloton. A French rider reported to http://www.cyclismag.com this amazing "noise". Those who really believe brandish argument as the many changes of bike Cancellara operates at full speed. This is already more original than the doping suspicions!

I think the more appropriate order of words is "brandish as argument the many changes" and "in full race" or "during the race" rather than "at full speed."
And "pédalier" is bottom bracket, not pedal.

I didn't see anything.

This video shows nothing, can you be more specific?

I'm not seeing anything categorical, however watch after the slip the camera dips down then back up again, yes he is on a slight downhill but the bike just takes off and he is slowly freewheeling forward.

(Edit: has the video been removed now?)

Is this the latest conspiracy theory ?
No, at this point it's not even a theory, it's a unicorn..

Re: Moto-fraud: first rider caught

Interesting tweet, have to say I've not looked in to it, wouldn't surprise me if Dawg has the battery stored in his bison (bidon)... (iPhone you know it' yeah?)

Not defending Froome, but how does he know Froome hasn't been drinking? Because Froome hasn't been shown all the time for the last, let's say, 10 km.
I agree it's a bit unusual to keep your bidon until the finish, but this seems like one of those attempts from celebrities when they get naked in hope of staying relevant. That's how you lose your credibility.

And one other thing. Does Sky have green bidons or are they from neutral support? I really have no idea about that.
