Another reason to wait for it on home media. I don’t know how people got through the rerelease of LotR RotK extended edition in theaters. It’s like a 4.25 hour movie. Heck the blueray ectended editions for the LotR trilogy is split across 6 discs.
Agree. I find longer movies easier to watch at home these days.

If you want just a fun movie, easy entertainment.. The Dink, it's a good mix of sports movie, romantic comedy and current culture topic.. Cameo appearances by Andy Rodick, John McEnroe, Ben Stiller and a bunch more, Hollywood has a few of these, The Hawk with Will Ferrell.. both have a bunch of comedy people.
The Breadwinner.. another similar comedy take on Mr Mom, doesn't get close to Michael Keaton faking it..but it's good. ** strange casting coincidences** tons of SNL alumni in 6,7 latest comedies..

I write this with great sorrow, The Odyssey, is nearly unwatchable. I think besides the writing and direction being just off. The casting is some of the absolute worst I have ever seen. Opening scene has a hip hop star, in dreadlocks doing some rhythmic chant. The thing that really sticks in my memory is how bad ,absolutely terrible everything John Leguizamo is involved with on screen is garbage. The writing, direction, costumes, dialogue is so close to a David Carradine, circa 1970's Kung Fu ripoff.. The way he talks, acts, including some colored contact lenses are ridiculous! They should have to credit Keye Luke in some way from obviously stealing his character.. It's just a terrible Master Po remake..

The scene involving Elliott Page is also perplexing.. The horse needs to be in the story, Page didn't need to be.. Travis Scott? Anne Hathaway? My only positive from the film, I saw it alone and on my inexpensive streaming service, I don't have any idea of how many cents I spent as a part of my monthly bill was what I paid for Odyssey torture but it was too much.

I don't think I will be seeing it at the cinema. People seem to love it or hate it. When I saw the trailer I thought that Matt Damon was an odd choice in the lead role and it seems that some people thought that Leguizamo was great ! No doubt the director has his own way of doing things and his movies are sometimes hit and miss. I liked the old Kung Fu series !
