Last I heard of Billy Corgan he was still playing some gigs, but this was a few years ago.

Looking it up now - according to wiki he is currently involved in professional wrestling, which is a bit of a head-scratcher. (But then so was Cyndi Lauper way back when.)

I can't believe Eurovision is still around, I remember it from when I was a kid. (Which, well, it's been a few decades since.)

If I recall correctly ABBA (don't larf!) struck it huge thanks to Eurovision.

I'm glad you mentioned the genre of music, in the case of ABBA it was 70s pop. Well, mostly anyway, they did dabble in some other stuff.

Hard rock, prog, hip-hop, R&B, classical, reggae bands, etc., should all be judged differently, methinks, and on their own merits and within their own classifications. But then you get the cross-overs, and then things can get very messy...

I think ABBA was an awesome pop band with some awesome composers and awesome singers. Don't think there is any point in comparing them to any other genre than 70s and early 80s pop.

So there, hard rockers!
