Absolutely amazing.

I listened to a 4 hour danish radio program paying tribute to Cornell yesterday. They played the album-version of "Beyond the Wheel", but the live performances are even greater.

Yeah. I saw them some dozens of times maybe back at the club venue level. I hadn't listened since the 90s bar the comeback show, but shedding the PacNoWest sensibilities, the power he pushed is just devastating. Even as a baritone, the lyrics and melodies were intelligent beyond the norm, but then he would just drive it. I can feel how to hit that range and force, but to actually do and sustain it is just humbling.

The album version isn't even in the room with the live takes.
