Patrick to get banned in 3.... 2....... 1.......

Can't seem to get enough of this guy since he checked out. Wasn't that big of a fan before but .... well just check the high notes..

Hadn't seen that version. I posted a few others back in May. The crowd in Seattle flipped at the reunion show in 2010 when he nailed the first set of high notes.

Dude was still drilling it even up to his death in his early 50's. Can you imaging how much wear and tear on his vocal cords? ... SG featured a ton of that from Cornell. Slaves and Bulldozers... plus you had the dark stuff like 4th of July and Limo Wreck.

I can't believe I didn't really plug in to these guys when they were in their heyday. Historically one of the better bands I can think of.

Yeah, they were massive. I saw them some two dozen times mostly way back and was telling anyone who cared that they were what to listen to. Obviously "Slaves" is still astute in all kinds of ways lyrically while being angry as hell.

I didn't listen to audioslave much, but I think he learned to save his voice then. He was backing it off already on Down on the Upside.

Two versions of 'slaves' 25 years apart. Dude was truly gifted.

Newly released song from Australian indie artist Julia Jacklin.
She's been playing it live for several months though. JJ will
be back in the UK for a few shows in early November.

Lovely alternate version without her guitar, and no Clay and Harry on
drums/bass, just Eddie Boyd on acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies.
