How timely!
I woke this morning to the sounds of Livro being played by my wife.
His is one of the few voices that brings me to tears. Amazing.
One of the most moving performances I have ever seen (the others being Peter Gabriel performing Biko, and Doudou Ndaiye Rose and his family of drummers).

If there is a heaven...
The language is French
The women are Spanish.
The food is Italian.
The music is Brazilian.

Oh, Libertine! Your taste is impeccable.

I am going to see Jimmy Eat World live in April which should be fantastic. Their latest album (6th major one) Invented is typically brilliant pop/rock.

Émilie Simon ~ Chanson de Toile

French electro-pop singer with beautiful breathy voice and classical guitar ballads. What's not to love?

Their new album "Oneirology"* releases this month, and they'er going on a European Tour on release, so seeing them in Bristol a few days after i get the album. CANNOT WAIT! :D:D:D:D

If anyone's interested, Oneirology is the study of dreams, the track-list looks like the album tells a story, and the artwork... Beautiful:

Paul Dempsey plays at some cool places in NYC. His latest CD Everything Is True is really good. The guy is very talented. I have not got into Powderfinger that much but I like a couple of singles I have listened to.

I just bought "Unza Unza Time" (the album) by Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra on iTunes for 9,99€. I would have prefered to buy it as a real CD but couldn't find it anywhere - not even on amazon.

Last year he was in Luxembourg but unfortunately I couldn't go.

Anyone else know this band? Why are their CD's so rare?
