Music! What are you listening to now?

Watched several "first time listening to" videos of undoubtedly the best vocal performances of all time, live on TV with full chorus and amazing orchestral accompaniment:
Righteous Brothers: Unchained Melody; solo by Bobby Hatfield There's one link of First time hearing...11 crazy responses...all women first timers.
Lost that Lovin' Feeling by both Bill and Bobby: check out younger producer/musicians that actually hear them for the first time. Listen to their comments about their parents/grandparents responses.
It gives you some sense of real talent before the era of autotune producerwhores as stars. Seeing legit vocalists and classic operatic artists dissecting self-taught talent and trying not to giggle or tear up was amazing.
Sent me on a venture of current day music fans hearing something they vaguely remember. Proof that real music is music.

Just for the record, not sure if I feel bad for the business or myself that I am not able to spend @$2000 for 2 people to go to see Sting and Billy Joel.. Last time I went to Padres at Petco Park running late parked close and it was $42 bucks.. Feel for parents who are forced to pay for the Taylor Swift experience for their kids!!!

Sting and Billy Joel are both legends, but crikes, what kind of audience are they expecting at that ticket price? AARP members who have a lot of spare cash?

Cheapest ticket $365 per..parking is $15 if you walk 20-30 minutes and it's $38-60 if you want to be close!! During Padre games there is technique I use. Hotel few blocks from stadium has free parking w $40 bar tab, 2 beers and a wife drink cover that.. and beer and drinks are cheaper there than stadium!!

Get your kids into indie music, it's a healthier scene and, more to the point, much much cheaper. I saw Speedy Ortiz for €16 a couple days ago and they were awesome

What an intro to this old favorite. Doesn't Colin Hay look like Data from Star Trek Gen? Lol.
Ha! I still have Business as Usual, I think it's an overall excellent album with some great songs, even the ones that never got play on radio. Some hidden gems on the album, like Down by the Sea and Helpless Automaton.
